Chris Potter Craig Taborn/Germany 2025 FM Broadcast Edition

Chris Potter, one of the pinnacles of contemporary jazz saxophonism, teamed up with the cutting-edge avant-garde pianist Craig Taborn for a 58-minute live performance in Cologne, Germany on March 31, 2025. This official, high-quality soundboard recording from the radio on-air master captures the live performance. As a tenor-piano duo, Potter includes some improvisational sections, but his interaction with Taborn is dominated by the tension and mystery so characteristic of ECM. The piano's sounds diffuse into the air, complemented by Potter's tenor, create a sonic space that is truly unique to this duo.
