Chick Corea & the Vigil Chick Corea/France 2013

The long-awaited new group, The Vigil, formed by Chick with a fresh lineup, finally showed its full potential with a new album, and from the 2013 European tour, the performance in Vienne, France, has been completely recorded up to the encore on a superb high-quality soundboard, and has arrived in a 2-disc set! Christian McBride is not on bass, but Ferro, but of course there is no problem. Quintero also joins in on percussion. What's great is that four songs are played from the new album, including the masterpiece "Portraits Forever," and the improvisations of each member that can't be heard on the studio version are featured abundantly, doubling the appeal. At the end, they also play "Spain" and "500 Miles High," which I wanted to hear with this lineup!
