Chick Corea New Akoustic Band/Tokyo,Japan 1992

This video was taken at Blue Note Tokyo in 1992, and is the only Chick Corea Acoustic Band recording with Vinnie Colaiuta as the drummer. Up until now, Dave Weckl had been playing the drums, but the change in drummer has changed the overall impression. I think Vinnie, who is known for his pop-inspired session work with artists such as Sting, creates a more undulating groove than Weckl's. Chick's piano plays at its best, as if stimulated by the rhythm section, and is at full blast from the first song, "Humpty Dumpty." The recording time is 55 minutes in professional format with menu chapters.
