From the world tour accompanying the release of their fifth album "Beneath the Mask" as an electric band, a live performance with a strong impact was held at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on May 27th. In the past four albums, the sound gradually changed to one that emphasized pop arrangements, and long-time fans had some concerns before the release of "Beneath the Mask", but such concerns were resolved just by listening to the first song, and many people will remember that the album was praised by critics as "the best work ever". Not only was this masterpiece album highly praised at live performances around the world, but all tickets for all the live performances in each area were sold out. The key to the world tour was this London performance, which was broadcast on the British national broadcasting station BBC. This time, it was recorded from a cassette tape that recorded the rare broadcast source, and the performance was so amazing that the significance of unearthing this source is immeasurable. The studio recording was limited by the limitations of editing, and the sense of groove created by the band was not so great, but the live performance features odd time signatures, amazing speed playing techniques, and stunning solo parts by the band members, making for an impactful live performance. In the second half of the live performance, from "Spain" to "Blues Miles," you can hear a masterpiece that also serves as a tribute to Miles.
