The Carpenters, who were extremely popular in Japan in the 1970s, have released a rare video collection of three performances in Japan, divided into three periods, on Blu-ray for the first time! This is a video anthology of three precious live in Japan performances, including the 1974 Budokan performance, which was broadcast on TV at the time and later made into a video, the first 1972 Budokan performance, recorded as it was from the TV broadcast at the time, and the 1976 Osaka performance, recorded from a precious one-camera shot. In 1974, when they were at the height of their popularity with the huge hit "Yesterday Once More," the video includes must-see live footage from their heyday, from their arrival at the airport to the sound check, the Japanese version of "Sing" performed with a Japanese children's choir, and the oldies medley from the album "Now and Then," recorded in HD remastered footage converted from video. The 1972 performance was also broadcast on TV at the time, and although the image quality is rough and there are some drops, it is recorded in a restored remastered footage from the only existing footage, including nostalgic TV commercials from that time. The 1976 Osaka concert was a one-camera shot, incomplete but valuable collector's item, restored and remastered from existing film material. This is a Blu-ray collector's item that is a valuable anthology of footage of the Carpenters' precious Japanese concerts, the eternal pop group that rivaled the Beatles in popularity in Japan in the 1970s and produced numerous hits.
