This DVD features a 50-minute multi-camera professional shot of the concert at the Chervon Hotel in Melbourne, Australia, held in 1972 before the legendary Japan tour, with excellent image quality and sound quality despite being black and white images. This take was digitally copied directly from a professional master tape owned by an Australian broadcasting station, so we can guarantee that the quality of this take is undoubtedly unmatched. As with the 1972 Japan tour, you can see a wonderful performance featuring a large strings and brass section in addition to the backing band, as well as a magnificent performance featuring a wealth of stunning harmonies. The opening starts with the Beatles' "HELP," as with the Japan tour. Karen plays light drumming and delivers a magnificent vocal. There are many highlights, such as Richard's brilliant piano solo and fun MC. It is probably a one-hour program that was broadcast in Melbourne in May at the time, and it is not a complete concert recording, but each song is recorded well, so you can immerse yourself in the Carpenters' sound world without feeling any stress. In addition to hits such as "Ticket to Ride," "Close to You," "We've Only Just Begun," and "Superstar," the Burt Bacharach medley is well worth listening to, with over 10 minutes of passionate performance.
