This is a live recording by the band of ECM's most popular pianist, Carla Bley. Although the sound quality cannot be said to be outstanding, with some parts being a little rough, it is not unlistenable since it is a radio sound source. Michael Mantler, an ally and talented composer like Carla, also participated. Carla sometimes performs jazz rock, but the live performance recorded here is free jazz, as you can guess from the fact that Peter Brötzmann from Globe Unity is the lead.
