CARAVAN in the Steve Miller era, which further strengthened the jazz color and gave off a unique charm. The highest peak update master of the symbolic pro shot is here. This work was filmed at the "September 5, 1971 London performance". It is a multi-camera pro shot recorded at the "Marquee Club", which has left many legends in rock history. In the case of CARAVAN, the information at that time is vague, so I will omit the activity summary, but around this time Dave Sinclair left to participate in MATCHING MOLE, and Steve Miller just joined instead. The only work he participated in, "WATERLOO LILY", was produced in November 1971, so it was about two months before that. This show was not part of a tour, but a special performance for the West German public broadcasting station WDR's famous program "Rockpalast". The program has a 30-minute corner called "Swing In", and it is a live pro shot that was broadcast there. It is a classic video that has been known for a long time, but this work is the highest peak version. This is a version that was recently distributed by the official channel of "Rockpalast", and the master that had been lying dormant in the broadcasting station was distributed with zero degradation because it was digital, and then made into a DVD as it is. The quality is the best ever, ironclad, and completely official. Of course, the color and texture are like the film of the early 70s, but there is no aging at all, no white line noise, no dust stains, and no wrinkles. The vivid colors are particularly wonderful, and not only are they faded, but they are so realistic that you can even feel the heat of the incandescent lights on site. What's more, it's surprising that there is no digital processing at all despite how vivid it is. They may have removed some dust, but the color and texture are still natural. Even though it's footage from more than 50 years ago, it's so fresh that it's as if you were reviewing the film on the spot. Such an ultra-beautiful film depicts a precious live performance from the Steve Miller era. Considering the time period, the set is a bit unexpected, so let's check it out here. Waterloo Lily (2 songs), The Love In Your Eye/Waterloo Lilly, etc. (3 songs), First album: Place Of My Own, Caravan Appearance: If I Could Do It All Over Again/For Richard... and so on. At that time, it was 5 months after the release of "IN THE LAND OF GREY AND PINK", but there were no selections from their major works. It features early songs from before that and new songs for "WATERLOO LILY" that had not yet been produced. The performance and the mood of the venue are also very tasteful. It is strange that the audience is sitting in the marquee club, but the mood of the four members who are absorbed in the performance as if there is no such audience is also strange. They do not glance at the audience, but they do not make eye contact with each other. Just concentrating on the notes they are spinning, the space where each other's phrases intertwine. The reality of Canterbury music in the 1970s shines through in that introspection. Canterbury Music has built a complex and mysterious family tree and a unique world of jazz rock in a dimension separate from commercial success. This work is a super-excellent professional shot that gives a glimpse of its depth. A rare lineup of CARAVAN is conveyed by the broadcasting station master of "Rockpalast". A multi-camera professional shot of the "September 5, 1971 Marquee Club performance". A special performance for the famous program "Rockpalast", the version that was distributed by the official channel very recently. This is the highest quality product that has been made into a DVD with zero deterioration from the master in the station only digitally. Of course, it is of completely official quality, with no deterioration over time, no white line noise, no dirt, and no wrinkles. This is a cultural heritage video that allows you to enjoy a precious show where the new song of "WATERLOO LILY", which was not yet produced, will be shown immediately after Steve Miller joined.
