Country singer: C.W. McCall's signature hit song "Convoy." The best video collection of legendary songs that have been made into movies from just one song has been decided to be released. Speaking of "Convoy," it was released in 1975, and is a masterpiece with a refreshing melody and CB (Citizen Radio) slang spoken by a truck guy. At that time, there may be some of you who had the coolness of that story etched in your mind. It was later made into a film with the same name by director Sam Peckinpah, who fell in love with the worldview of a modern day guest. It was also released in Japan, and the word "convoy", which originally meant "convoy", was associated with the word truck and became established in Japan. This work is a video collection featuring the famous song "Convoy". It takes about 40 minutes with 9 types of professional shots, and you will be completely immersed in that unique world. However, even though we say "9 types", it does not mean that there will be 9 similar live performances. In fact, there is no live scene. Nevertheless, they are all unique videos with different content. They can be broadly divided into three categories, so let's introduce each one. [Section 1: 7-inch/Original Promo (2 types)] The two most basic versions will first appear. One is a video of a 7-inch analog single being played, and the original clip from 1975. The former also has a good turntable, but the important thing is the clip of the latter. McCall, wearing a cowboy hat, talks and sings while driving a truck. Then, a brigade of such trucks forms a line and speeds along the highway in the wilderness. That scene is very American, this is America. It is the American travel sentiment and mental landscape that directly connects to later films such as ``Cannonball'' and ``Over the Top.'' [Section 2: TV performance (4 types)] Next comes the section that is the heart of this work. These are the four TV programs that appeared in conjunction with the huge hit of "Convoy". All of them are mime, but they are not what you would call a studio live performance. In “HEE HAW,” McCall sings in a set that imitates a highway service area, as if it were “8 o’clock! Everyone gather!” When I thought about that, during the "RICH LITTLE VARIETY SHOW" he sat on a chair with a super simple set, and during the "MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW" he sang while mumbling on a carpet-like road set. In the final song, “POP GOES THE COUNTRY,” amateur radio equipment is brought into the studio to create a mood, and its cheapness gives it a sense of the times. [Section 3: Movie trailer (3 types)] The last three types are videos that utilize footage from the movie ``Convoy'' released in 1978. The first two types are trailers produced in conjunction with the release of the movie. As expected, when it comes to movies, the quality and scale are on a whole other level. A huge truck blows away a police car, crushes a house, and even knocks down the National Guard. Includes a version with sound effects to add color to the outrageous rampage, and a version with only music without sound effects. And finally, a new fan-made clip. It uses plenty of footage from the movie "Convoy" without worrying about spoilers, and its level of perfection and dynamism exceeds that of the official trailer. In fact, it is one of the best made among the nine types included in this work. By the way, when the film was released in Japan, an original song called "Convoy's Theme" was also created, but this film only deals with C.W. McCall's "Convoy". "Convoy" is a famous song that depicts the feeling of traveling in America using unique CB slang. This is a collection of 9 videos that beautifully visualize the worldview of what could be called the ``American version of truck guys.'' This is a piece that is full of nostalgia, but also gives you even more imagination. Featuring Various TV Shows 1976 & Trailers from Sam Peckinpah Film "Convoy" 1978 (39:12) 1.
