Bryan Ferry returned to Japan as a solo artist in 2002, amidst the excitement of the reunion of ROXY MUSIC. The first public live album that allows you to experience the scene is now available. This work is inspired by the "November 30, 2002: Tokyo International Forum" performance. It is an exquisite audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. He came to Japan on a tour accompanying "FRANTIC," but it was about a year after ROXY MUSIC's reunion, and it was his first time as a solo artist in seven years. This is a good opportunity, so let's start with the history of ferries coming to Japan.・June 1977: Solo first visit to Japan (4 performances) ・April 1979: ROXY MUSIC first visit to Japan (3 performances) ・February 1983: ROXY MUSIC visit Japan #2 (7 performances) ・October 1988 : Solo visit to Japan #2 (8 performances)・March 1995: Solo visit to Japan #3 (8 performances)・September 2001: ROXY MUSIC visit to Japan #3 (3 performances)・November 2002: Solo visit to Japan #4 (2 performances) ←★Coco★・July 2010: ROXY MUSIC visit to Japan #4 (1 performance)・March 2019: Solo visit to Japan #5 (2 performances) This is the history of Bryan Ferry's visit to Japan. In 2002, there were only two days, "Tokyo (first day) + Osaka (second day)", and this work is a live album venue that vacuum-packed the Tokyo performance. And the sound is neat and beautiful. In fact, although it is a somewhat distant recording, the thick sound is fresh, plump, and truly beautiful. The piano notes fall gently, the beat increases in dynamism as it rumbles, and the horns create a rich sound world. Among them, Ferry's vocals play a leading role. The singing voice, accompanied by a ringing sound, is thick yet gentle, and is full of dandyism that sinks into your heart. The sound that prioritizes the atmosphere changes around “The Thrill Of It All” where the show starts to accelerate. It starts to rock powerfully from this point, but I thought it would be covered up by the sound of the drums, but at this point the sound suddenly becomes clearer. Perhaps the taper himself made a quick decision to change the direction or setting of the microphone. The effect is tremendous, the vocals and guitars are sharp like a laser beam, and the production of the show that changes moods is felt even more vividly. Moreover, the sound gets better and better as the show progresses, probably due to the sound output from the on-site PA. The reason why he was able to perform such a flexible feat of changing the sound quality according to the ensemble was due to Taper's familiarity with recording. In fact, the person who worked on this work is a recording artist who has recently become a hot topic. YES's ``SHIBUYA 1998 2ND NIGHT'' and ``TOKYO 2003 2ND NIGHT'' have been well-received, and he has also worked on BRAND X and David Sylvian, which were released simultaneously this week. This work is the Bryan Ferry edition of such a master collection (by the way, the ROXY MUSIC edition ``TOKYO 2001 FINAL NIGHT'' by the same venue / same recording artist will also be released, so please be sure to check it out as well). What is drawn with such a beautiful and rich sound is a full show that covers a wide range of careers while appealing to the current progress. Let's organize the set contents here. 70's/80's Classics・ROXY MUSIC: Do The Strand/The Thrill Of It All/Love Is The Drug/My Only Love/Jealous Guy/Tara 70's Solo: Smoke Gets In Your Eyes/Let's Stick Together/Tokyo Joe /Carrickfergus・80s Solo: Boys And Girls/Slave To Love/Don't Stop The Dance/Limbo After 90s・Mamuna: The Only Face・Frantic: Don't Think Twice It's Alright/Cruel/Ja Nun Huns Pris /A Fool For Love/It's All Over Now, Baby Blue・Others: My One and Only Love/Wooly Bully...and so on. There are 5 songs from the latest work ``FRANTIC'' and 3 songs from ``BOYS AND GIRLS'', but the rest are all selected from different works. It is a very diverse and colorful show, including the covers “My One and Only Love” and “Wooly Bully”. Gradually flavorful, stylish and mellow. This is a new excavated live album where you can fully experience a solo show with great sound that is different from ROXY MUSIC. This work itself is a masterpiece, and it is also interesting to listen to it together with ROXY MUSIC's album "TOKYO 2001 FINAL NIGHT" by the recording artist. A piece full of the fun that can only be found in any underground sound source.
