From the North American tour accompanying the release of "ONE OF A KIND" under the name of Bruford in 1979, the show at the famous club El Mocambo in Toronto, Canada on July 24th was almost completely recorded from the high-quality audience master, which could be said to be A-rank at the time. First of all, while the sound source of the Toronto performance on the 25th the following day had been distributed in the past, this club gig was recorded from the audience master, which was the first appearance released by Taper in recent years, and since it was small-scale, it reproduced the precious gig with real and clear sound quality down to the smallest detail. And about two months before this, on the Euro tour, Holdsworth had already left the band, and John Clark joined. And it seems that this four-piece ensemble was finally established on this US tour, and the set was well-balanced with the numbers from the previous work "FEEL SO GOOD", and the relaxed performance unique to small halls was impressive. Still, the album starts with a tense SE on "Hell's Bells," and the moody "Fainting In Coils" features a 12-minute arrangement with Bill's solo "Back To The Beginning" inserted, which is wonderful. From the highlight "Beelzebub" to the UK-famous "The Sahara Of Snow," the album features nearly twice as many improvisations as the album version, especially in the first half, "Part 1," Jeff and Dave also exchange interplays, as if responding to Bill's superb drumming. And the latter half, "Part 2," is also a must-see, as it is the flow of the ending. At the end, an interview with Bill, which was aired on local FM radio, is also included, making this a must-listen collector's edition for fans. DISC 1 :1. Hell's Bells/2.
