Despite being at the height of his popularity, Bruce Springsteen's River Tour remains largely undocumented. For example, Springsteen's MC performance before "Independence Day" feels natural. Coupled with this 20-minute video is 8mm footage capturing the unique charm of the early River Tour, also shot from the audience at the Richfield concert on January 1, 1979, posted by the same YouTube account as the St. Paul video. This was the historic final show of the beloved Darkness Tour, and this rare footage has captivated fans worldwide. Surprisingly, this footage is captured from an even clearer and closer angle than the 1980 St. Paul video, offering a brief, professional-quality shot. The still-slim Springsteen storming the stage is a testament to the Darkness Tour. Even though it's only 6 minutes long and fragmented, it's a captivating video. Of course, the audience recordings from the day have been dubbed, so you can watch it with peace of mind.
