The highly popular DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN US PROMOTIONAL LP is back as an upgraded item with the addition of stereo and mono versions of the white promo version of the single Badlands from this album! The white promo version of this album has become a very popular item recently. As with the last time, it was carefully re-traced using a disc in excellent condition. Bruce seemed to have started on his path to stardom with the great success of Born To Run, but it is a well-known story that he was unable to release a new album due to troubles in the showbiz world shortly after this. However, it is also a well-known story that he was able to perform live, and he honed his skills with the E Street Band, whose members had just been fixed. After resolving such troubles, he finally released his fourth album, Darkness On The Edge Of Town, in 1978. Of course, this album was a huge success, and it is said that one song on this album, Badlands, was the origin of Hartland Rock, which is now established as a genre of rock in the United States, and that the lyrics of the song were quoted. This gift item is a direct reproduction of the US white label promo of Darkness On The Edge Of Town. A remastered version is now on sale, but please enjoy the "sound" of the white promo version. Fans also know that this album has several episodes. One is that the jacket photo was not decided until just before the release, and the familiar guitar part was added at the very end of The Promised Land, and there is a version without the guitar part on the test press acetate (as you all know, this acetate is made into a media by E Street Records). And from this US-only promo 7-inch, we have added a stereo version and a mono version. You can enjoy the difference from the album version. After the album part, we have also added a new STEREO/MONO version from the Badlands promo. We think you will enjoy the difference in sound between the album and the 7-inch. In addition, this super rare promo-only 12-inch single includes a cover single of Billy Joel's Say Goodbye To Hollywood (the best bluesy Spector sound!) performed by Ronnie Spector and the E Street Band, who frequently appeared as guests on the 1977 tour, as well as Darkness On The Edge Of Town. The stereo/mono version is recorded directly on both sides. The B-side is an original song written by Miami Steve, Baby Please Don't Go (he also produced Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes during this period, and contributed songs with Bruce. These works were a great success. He also participated in Lou Reed's album, collaborated with Patti Smith, and members of the E Street Band backed Ian Hunter's album). It seems that they were planning to make an album with this lineup, so if there are any recordings left, I would like to hear them (the catalog number of the album is written on the label of this promo 12-inch single). The mono version does not seem to be available in media at present, so I think it is a valuable item. MONO really matches the Spector sound!
