“SMiLE” was touted as “the most famous unreleased album in rock history.” This is a reprint of a masterpiece live album depicting the moment when that phantom masterpiece appeared in this world. This work was recorded at “Royal Albert Hall Performance on February 21, 2004”. This is an audience album containing the second performance of "SMiLE TOUR 2004-2005", which shocked the rock world with "Finally, the full story of this legendary masterpiece is revealed!" Nowadays, "SMiLE" is popular both as a regular studio album and as a reprint album of the original session, but at the time, it was all about the history of connecting fragments and searching for a complete form, and it was almost an "eternal mystery". It was a state. It was unexpectedly released for the first time in the form of a complete reproduction concert, and this work was the first report of that. For that reason, it is a masterpiece among masterpieces that attracted the attention of rock fans all over the world, and was quickly sold out and out of print. However, at that time, people were only interested in ``What's the whole story?'', but now it can be seen both as a studio completed version and as a reprint of the original version. This work, which was one of the first to convey the true value of a masterpiece, is completely useless...or so I thought. It is in this modern era that the "true value" of this work actually emerges. That “value” is simply the sound. This work must be an audience recording because it is an original master provided directly by the recording artist, but its quality far exceeds the dimension of “audience recording”. The musical sound is a combination of the beautiful acoustics of the famous traditional venue "Royal Albert Hall" and the skill of a famous British recording artist, and has a glossy yet direct feel. It's so vivid that I want to call it "just like a soundboard," but it doesn't have the inorganic feel of a soundboard. The musical tones and harmonies reverberate beautifully in a crystal clear, shining clarity. What's more, the extremely slight reverberation enhances its beauty even more, creating a "sound world" that goes beyond the sound itself. I just wrote “the acoustics of the venue and the skill of the master recorder,” but in reality, this beauty cannot be achieved by just that. What makes this possible is an atmosphere that can be described as the "beauty of nothing." I apologize for sounding incomprehensible, but in other words, this is the audience's "silence" and "tension." After all, that "SMiLE" is about to become a reality right before our eyes. The breath-taking tension, the concentration of not missing a single note, resides in the silence. Of course, this isn't just silence. There are huge applause between songs, and the awareness of the audience present is clearly engraved in the performance and singing, and you can feel the sense of urgency as each song is performed. ``SMiLE'' is depicted in a space where even the sounds of breathing and rustling clothes can be heard...this is the ``beauty of nothing''. Although the order has been reversed, the composition of this work is that Disc 1 is the first half of the show, the famous songs of “BEACH BOYS & Solo” are lined up in a row, and Disc 2 contains “SMiLE” reproduction + encore. In the first half, there are also rare numbers such as “And Your Dreams Come True,” “Keep An Eye On Summer,” and “City Blues,” and the mood where the many hit songs warm the venue is wonderful. Of course, the encore enthusiasm that is a whirlpool of relief and excitement after the historic “SMiLE” is also the best. Yes, this work is a “live album”. At the time, I was only concerned about the true nature of "SMiLE," but this was the Royal Albert Hall, the site of a live performance that would never be repeated. A concert where you can feel the breath of the audience as they wait and enjoy the historic moment. This work breathes in plenty of such historical air and spits it out from the speakers. “SMiLE” has a special shine in rock history. The music that even influenced Brian Wilson's life has just been released into the world. This is a masterpiece of a live album that depicts that moment with such transcendent quality that the smile of the goddess of recording can be seen through. Now is the time to stop being fooled by the "illusion of SMiLE," and now that Brian Wilson has returned to Japan after 11 years, we hope that as many people as possible can enjoy the true beauty of the performance and the real thrill of the historical atmosphere. I would like people to know. Reprint for that purpose. Please do not miss this opportunity and enjoy it to the fullest.
