This newly discovered recording features a high-quality stereo audience recording of a San Diego concert in 1995, approximately one year after the Brian Setzer Orchestra's debut! The Brian Setzer Orchestra released their debut album in March 1994. Approximately six months later, on September 11, 1995, this rare recording features a high-quality stereo audience recording of a live performance in the Gaslamp Quarter, a downtown San Diego venue known for its clubs, cocktail lounges, and concert halls. Digitally transferred directly from the newly discovered cassette master, the recording delivers a wide range of rich, well-balanced sound, encompassing vocals, guitar, and every part. The recording has also been carefully remastered to correct any pitch imperfections inherent in the master. While this recording is credited online as being from 1998, the tracklisting confirms its authenticity in 1995. The audience cheers are captured in a subtle way, creating a powerful and immersive soundscape. The recording begins with the band call by the MC (?) announcing the opening, kicking off with "Hoodoo Voodoo Doll," which appeared on their sophomore album, "Guitar Slinger," released in Japan first the following July. The setlist centers around tracks from their debut album, including "Brand New Cadillac" featuring the "Peter Gunn Theme." It then moves on to "As Long As I'm Singin'," which later appeared on the album "Dirty Boogie," and concludes with Bill Doggett's instrumental cover of "Honky Tonk," originally featured on the compilation album "Music For Our Mother Ocean." Experience the fresh, lively performance you only get at their debut with this powerful, immersive sound!
