During the fusion boom of the 1970s and 1980s, the Brecker Brothers, centered around the Brecker brothers Randy and Michael, and featuring such distinguished members as David Sanborn, Will Lee, Mike Stern, Chris Parker, Marcus Miller, and Terry Bozzio, were a hugely popular group that left behind many masterpieces and great performances. Although the group put an end to its activities in 1981, it has been revived many times over the years, with Dennis Chambers and others joining the group. However, Michael passed away in 2007, and it seemed that it would be difficult for The Brecker Brothers to continue their activities in the future. However, Randy made up his mind, placed his wife Ada Lovatti in Michael's place, and finally made a long-awaited comeback in 2012! In 2013, they released their first studio album in a long time and began their activities in earnest! The live performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands in July 2013, which was highly praised as one of the best performances from the tour accompanying the new work, has been released for the first time in a superb high quality stereo soundboard recording! Randy and Lovatti, Dean Brown on guitar, George Whitty on keyboards, Chris Minh Dokey on bass, and Dave Weckl on drums are all powerful members, and the set list includes new songs and classic hits from the past. From the moment the first song starts, the tight rhythm is too good and the sharp horns explode, and the Breckers sound jumps into your ears, and the groove is irresistible and makes fans cry! At the end, they play the familiar "Sam Skunk Funk", and even though I know it, I can't stop, and I can't stop thinking, "This is it! ~" and my heart burns with excitement. Is it just me?
