Yes, it's a shame that Michael isn't there, but this long-awaited first release is a two-disc set of the high-quality complete recording of the July 2014 performance in Paris, France, with the exact same lineup as the Brecker Brothers' masterpiece, "Heavy Metal Bebop"! As soon as it was announced that this "Heavy Metal Bebop Tour" would be held, there was a huge reaction among fans, and they were filled with anxiety and expectation, wondering if they would actually perform... but don't worry. It has started just fine! The album opens with "Sponge," which explodes with Bozzio's flashy drums surrounded by a massive drum set, followed by the powerful guitar of "First Tune," the funky "Straphangin'," and the classic "Sam Skunk Funk," which is synonymous with the "Heavy Metal Bebop Breckers" rather than the Breckers themselves. The album then goes on to a brilliant "Rocks" with a complex ensemble that tests the abilities of all the members.
