BRAND A live set that lets you experience that once-in-a-lifetime scene is now available. This work includes “April 3, 1997: Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO Performance”. It is a 3-disc set with the full audience recording on DISC 1-2 and shots of the people involved on DISC 3. These two records are extremely valuable and of high quality, but what is most rare is the fact that he came to Japan. First, let's look back at the schedule.・March 30th: Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO ・March 31st: Shinsaibashi CLUB QUATTRO ・April 2nd: ON AIR WEST ・April 3rd: Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO ←★This work★ ・April 4th: Sendai MACANA And more , 5 performances in total. At that time, it was right after the release of their final album ``MANIFEST DESTINY'' (February), but members Mark Wagner/Frank Cutts refused to travel and left the group. Suddenly, a Japan tour with Pierre Moulin and Chris Shobling was realized. Two performances were held in Tokyo, and this work is on the second day. This work, which conveys such a show, has excellent quality. First of all, the main full live album (DISC 1-2) is an original recording of this work that will be released for the first time in Japan. Moreover, among the recording artist collections that have recently become a hot topic, YES's ``SHIBUYA 1998 2ND NIGHT'' and ``TOKYO 2003 2ND NIGHT'' are very popular in the progressive rock genre. David Sylvian and Bryan Ferry, who will be released at the same time, are also the works of this person. And, this work is a beautiful recording that has a nice freshness even in that collection. It's different from the close feeling that you can mistake for a sound board, but the feeling of being in a closed room because it's a club is perfect. Although there is a slight sense of distance in the important performance sound, the core that penetrates the atmosphere and reaches straight is powerful and the details are delicate. John Goodsall's fast playing is also clear down to the single note, and the nuances of bending and vibrato can also be clearly felt. Of course, Percy Jones's bass also has a crisp attack sound that stands out, and the groove feeling created by the continuation of its grains is also beautifully captured. Even more vivid is the video edition, DISC 3. It's a one-camera shot taken from the back of the audience seats with the front of the stage in the center, but apparently this was done by a person involved. The view that passes directly over the audience's heads and directly captures the stage, the sense of stability that comes with the confident use of a tripod, and the zoom that approaches you as if you know the highlights in advance are all things that the audience can't resist. In other words, the audio is a sound board. Although it is not as good as DISC 1-2 in terms of overall score as there is some chirping noise here and there, the sense of close contact with the clean separation is amazing. After all, it's BRAND X, so the ensemble and technique are more important than the atmosphere or enthusiasm. You can fully enjoy it. What is depicted using these two materials is truly a miraculous scene. Unfortunately, the video version is not complete, so let's organize the set here. 70's Classics・Abnormal Acts: Born Ugly・Moroccan Roll: Disco Suicide・Masks: The Poke・Product:...And So to F... Others・Manifest Destiny: Manifest Destiny/Stellerator/Virus(▼)/ True to the Clik (▼) / Cover: Lila's Dance (▼) / Birds Of Fire (MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA) *Note: "▼" is only for the full live album (DISC 1-2). ...and it looks like this. The composition consists of selecting one representative song from each of the four works from the 70's, and adding new songs from ``MANIFEST DESTINY'' and two cover songs from MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA. To be honest, I don't know if they were at their best because of the rapidly increasing lineup, but BRAND Even after actually listening to it and watching the video, I can't believe that it was actually performed in Japan. Pierre, the drummer, has a presence that rivals the two main characters. A legend who has demonstrated his skills on many historical masterpieces such as GONG's ``ANGEL'S EGG'' and ``YOU'' and Mike Oldfield's ``OMMADAWN.'' Takumi's stick handling is similar to the rice cake theory, and in the video version, the feeling that ``Pierre is right there'' is dazzling. Shortly after this visit to Japan, Percy left BRAND X, and BRAND X began to trace an even more complicated history. This is a valuable 3-disc set where you can fully enjoy the miraculous Live in Japan that was realized on the verge of collapse with exquisite recordings and shots of those involved. A BRAND X on-site experience that you will never hope to have again. Live set from the miraculous first visit to Japan "April 3, 1997: Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO performance". It is a 3-disc set with full audience recordings on DISC 1-2 and shots of people involved on DISC 3. The main full recording (DISC 1-2) is the original master that will be released for the first time in Japan, and is a neat and fresh beautiful recording. The feeling of being in a closed room is wonderful because it is a club, and the core that reaches straight through the atmosphere is powerful and the details are delicate. And what is even more vivid is the video edition, DISC 3. This is a one-camera shot of the people involved from the back of the audience seats, with no obstructions, a sense of stability using a tripod, and the soundboard audio is superb.
