From “40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2016”, another wonderful recording has appeared. I just reported on “SIOUX CITY 2016” the other day, but this work is also a live album that cannot be ignored. This work was recorded at “June 10, 2016 Grand Prairie Performance (Texas)”. Six days after the recent "SIOUX CITY 2016", it was a live show after four performances in terms of tour date. What's great about this work is the sound. “SIOUX CITY 2016” was also a high-quality sound board-like record, but this work is also of comparable high quality. Although it is not the type of "just like a sound board", compared to "SIOUX CITY 2016", the mid and high tones are much more forward, and this work may have the upper hand in terms of clarity. To be honest, "SIOUX CITY 2016" is better in terms of balance, but it's still hard to throw away this clarity. Especially beautiful are the synths and acoustic guitars. What can I say, each note shines brightly. Of course, the edges of the electric guitar and vocals are clearly drawn, and the outline of the melody is vivid. The "Verizon Theater" that became the venue is a hall with a capacity of about 6,500 people, but there is no reverberation so much that it is hard to believe that it is indoors, and only the "core" of the musical sound jumps straight into it. In other words, “SIOUX CITY 2016” is “BOSTON of power and scale,” and this work is “BOSTON of beautiful melodies.” This work has plenty of the taste of audience recording. This time, "40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2016", more than ever, they played plenty of early masterpieces, and the audience was especially enthusiastic. Of course, I wouldn't introduce it if the band's sound was overwhelmed by such enthusiasm, but this work touches the heart with the enthusiasm that subtly nestles in the clear cut musical sound. In addition to the applause given to Gary Phil's virtuosity, the chorus of approximately 6,500 people gathered at the "Verizon Theater" was also wonderful, and the loud applause that erupted between songs spread far and wide with no end in sight. Furthermore, the steady clapping of the hands is reminiscent of even the Japanese performance, and it colors the performance as if it were part of the rhythm section. As expected, it is after 4 performances, and the content of the show is very similar to “SIOUX CITY 2016”. However, the sound, which is completely different but has the same high quality, is still a different performance in a different place. With that sound, the super famous songs from the "Golden Three" albums "BOSTON", "DON'T LOOK BACK", and "THIRD STAGE" are still here! "Don't Be Afraid" and "Used To Bad News" from "DON'T LOOK BACK", "We're Ready" from "THIRD STAGE" and " Even the rare "Higher Power" from "GREATEST HITS" will be generously performed. This is the perfect live album to quench the thirst of customers who were moved by "SIOUX CITY 2016" and want "one more time." ``40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2016'' is the essence of the enchanting BOSTON sound. Please enjoy it to the fullest. Live at Verizon Theater, Grand Prairie, TX. USA 10th June 2016 PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(52) :20) 1. The Star Spangled Banner 2. Rock And Roll Band 3. Smokin' 4.
