In 1988, the unprecedented bubble economy and HR/HM boom were in full swing, and everyone believed in "endless spring." Here is the best title of the huge event "HEAT BEAT LIVE '89 IN BIG EGG" that was realized on that last night. This concert was a festival at the Tokyo Dome, with BON JOVI, who was at the height of his power at the time, as the main act, and LA metal master RATT, up-and-coming KINGDOM COME, and BRITNY FOX. The pattern is also famous for its television broadcast, but this work is a large volume compilation of the records of the day, including the best master. This is a six-disc set that includes the full live album of "December 31, 1988" on discs 1-2, the full live album of "January 1, 1989" on discs 3-4, and the broadcast pro shots of "December 31" on discs 5-6. Now, let's take a closer look at each disc. [Disc 1-2: Full Live Album, December 31, 1988] First up is the New Year's Eve concert "FINAL COUNT DOWN". This is a full audience recording that captures the scene in a realistic way. This is the original recording that was once released by the Shades label under the title "BLAST OFF TOKYO". This is a legendary recording that disappeared from the market in an instant with a limited release of only 20 copies, and this is a masterpiece that re-digitized the master. What's great about it is the sound. Speaking of the Tokyo Dome, it's inevitable that the sound will be blurred and fuzzy, but this work is so clear that it will wake you up. Although you can feel the huge venue spectacle with the loud cheers that are full of perspective, there is almost no sense of distance in the musical sounds, and they fly straight into the clear air like a laser beam. There is a slightly chirpy overpeak in the high range, but the musical sounds themselves are captured smoothly. In the opening song "Lay Your Hands On Me," John's microphone is off, which makes you think "What?", but this is a mistake by the PA on site. It recovers in less than a minute, and there is plenty of stable sound until the end. More than that quality, it is a complete recording. This show was also broadcast on television, but that was an incomplete version edited to the broadcast slot. This disc also records the MC between songs that were cut on the broadcast, as well as "Homebound Train," "Pink Flamingos," "Let It Rock," and "Get Ready." Of course, you can also hear the voice of "Happy New Year!" at the end of "Bad Medicine" (actually, it's 11:35 at this time. It's a bit of a premature greeting), and "It's All Over Now" with RATT, KINGDOM COME, and Britney Fox, who appeared at the event, is also firmly recorded. You can enjoy the unique highlights of this show, which is unique to New Year's Eve, without missing anything. [Disc 3-4: Full live album from January 1, 1988] Next is "BLAST OFF TOKYO" on New Year's Day. Like Discs 1-2, the original master that first appeared in "BLAST OFF TOKYO" has been digitized again. And this disc also has a wonderful audience sound. Although it is not as strangely close as Discs 1-2, it is still clear enough and the bright and sunny sound that is not like the Tokyo Dome is striking. And above all, it is beautiful. As mentioned above, there was a tingly overpeak in Discs 1-2, but this one does not have that. There is a tape change cut in the middle of "Get Ready", but the natural and lustrous sound remains the same and it is a great recording that penetrates the entire story. And since this New Year's Day show was not broadcast on TV, everything is new. The set is the same as New Year's Eve, except for the New Year's Eve jam "It's All Over Now". However, it is a different concert and the atmosphere is completely different. The first MC is inserted after the third song, "Wild In The Streets," where he says, "Happy New Year! Is there anyone who came yesterday?" It's a perfect New Year mood. [Disc 5-6: Pro Shot December 31, 1988] The last disc 5-6 is the highest peak version of the famous TV broadcast ever. This broadcast is a legendary program that has permeated HR/HM to the living room, but this work is a superb master that has been excavated in recent years. The quality is amazingly amazing. It also includes a TV commercial for S Electric, which used BON JOVI as an image character, so I think it's probably an air check, but the quality is super clear and there is no line noise or deterioration at all, so it's at the level of "Is it an official DVD? Is it a mint laser disc?" In fact, there is a very slight audio noise like tracking noise, so it can be distinguished from a video master, but it is a hyper quality that is hard to believe for an 80's video that has been over 29 years. With such quality, the show depicts the scent of 1989, when both the band and the audience were immersed in the "spring of our world." All the bands that performed will appear, but the main band is BON JOVI. 12 of the 17 songs on the day will be broadcast, with BRITNY FOX (1 song), KINGDOM COME (1 song + drum solo), and RATT (2 songs) in between. The image of BON JOVI projected there is exactly like the PV for "Bad Medicine." It is neither youthful nor immature, but it does not show any sexiness to the maturity. It is the image of "that BON JOVI" who sings and plays with a straight and unhesitant expression, with the wind of the heyday blowing over his whole body. The large crowd at Big Egg looking back at them is also a scene from 1988. The women who respond with yellow squeals are dressed in bodycon and sway their bodies with their one-length hair flowing. His thick eyebrows twist with emotion, while a male customer wearing Arale-chan glasses sings at the top of his lungs.... The screen is filled with scenes that could only have been seen in that era, 1988. The other three groups that are broadcast alongside BON JOVI are also great. RATT, who was a big name in LA metal at the time, only plays two songs, which is typical of Japan, but we are grateful that they even broadcast BRITNY FOX, and KINGDOM COME, who was at their peak for a moment (I wanted to see STONE FURY's "Break Down The Walls" more than James Kottak's drum solo!!!) are also available in top quality. Following the New Year's countdown, the bands all jammed together to the festival-like "It's All Over Now". Lenny Wolf sings confidently while looking at his cue card, and Stephen Pearcy wears a happi coat with "The Greatest Live '89" written on it. Everything is wrapped up in "that era" and the film closes. BON JOVI in their heyday, shining brightly. The bands that colored 1988 with BON JOVI. And the special enthusiasm that comes with New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. This is a 3-disc masterpiece set where the heat of the year rises from the monitors and blows out of the speakers like hot air. This is a big title that will make you feel even more emotional during the New Year holidays.
