After overcoming the threat of disbandment in 1992, Bon Jovi returned with their first album in four years, "KEEP THE FAITH." This soundboard album, which also serves as a complete version of their official video, is now available. This two-disc set features two stereo soundboard recordings made at Kaufman Astoria Studios in New York City. The main focus is on the full live performance from their October 24, 1992 performance, with bonus footage of a rehearsal from October 19, 1992. As the title may suggest, this album is also a companion piece to their official video, "KEEP THE FAITH: AN EVENING WITH BON JOVI." To explain the context, let's first take a look at their activities at the time. 1992《January-August production of “KEEP THE FAITH》》・October 11th-December 31st: Promo tour (15 performances) ←★Here★ 1993, January 23rd: American Music Award performance “KEEP THE FAITH” Tour”・February 8th – March 26th: North America #1 (27 performances)・March 31st – May 27th: Europe #1 (41 performances)←*STOCKHOLM 1993・June 3rd – 17th: Japan (11 performances)←*YOYOGI 1993 DAY 1・June 24th – August 8th: North America #2 (31 performances) I'M DEAD Tour" August 18th - September 19th: Europe #2 (22 performances) ← *PARIS September 23rd - October 17th, 1993: Asia/Australia (15 shows); October 29th - December 20th: Latin America/North America #3 (26 shows). This is BON JOVI in 1992/1993. In fact, manipulation of their huge catalogs is rare, and the data from that time is often ambiguous. There are several conflicting sources, and the above is one of them, so please consider the detailed dates and number of shows as a reference only. While the album "KEEP THE FAITH" was released in 1992, it wasn't until 1993 that the band embarked on a full-scale world tour. Until then, they had been performing promotional shows. The two tracks included on this album were part of that "promo tour." Let's focus more on the dates. Details of the "Promo Tour" ・October 11th + 12th (2 shows in North America) *October 13th "CLUB TOUR REHEARSAL 1992 (video)" ・October 17th: Toronto performance *October 19th: Rehearsal ←★Bonus for this album★ *October 24th: New York performance ←★Main feature★ & official video *October 25th: New York performance ←※Official video ・October 28th + 29th (2 shows in North America) {"KEEP THE FAITH" released on November 3rd} ・November 4th - December 14th (6 shows in Europe) ・December 20th + 31st (2 shows in North America) ...And so on.Official video "KEEP THE FAITH: AN EVENING WITH BON "JOVI" is credited as being from "October 27th," but in fact it was edited from two performances on "October 24th/25th." In other words, the main performance of this work is the complete version of the live performance that was the source of the official footage. And the quality is exactly official class. In fact, the mix and sound quality are the same as the official footage, and the studio-like mood that is different from a regular arena/stadium concert is the same. Although it is a live album with only audio, those who are familiar with the official version can enjoy the complete form of the stage with the same feeling. The mood that is different from the actual live performance is the bonus recording of "October 19th." Rehearsal. Although "rehearsal" can mean anything from a practice recording to memorizing the song itself to a final confirmation just like the real thing, this work is very close to the latter. Since there is no audience, the mood is different, but they play each song firmly. They are probably considering which songs to play for the real thing. They will also be showing off plenty of repertoire that cannot be heard on the main "October 24th" sound board. So (?), the point of this work is that you can hear plenty of famous songs that you couldn't hear in the official video. Let's organize the full set here, including the bonus, by comparing it with the official video. New Jersey (5 songs) Love For Sale / Lay Your Hands On Me / I'll Be There For You (★) / Blood On Blood (★) / Bad Medicine and others (16 songs) - Blaze Of Glory / You Give Love A Bad Name (★) / Bed Of Roses / Livin' On A Prayer / I'll Sleep When I'm Dead / Fields Of Fire (★) / Wanted Dead Or Alive / Keep The Faith - Covers: With A Little Help From My Friends [THE BEATLES] / Baby What Do You Want Me To Do (★: 2 times) [Jimmy Reed] / Brother Louie [HOT CHOCOLATE] / It's My Life [THE ANIMALS] / We Gotta Get Out Of This Place [Barry Mann] / Fever [Eddie Cooley] / Heartbreak Hotel (★) [Elvis Presley] / Good Lovin' (★) [THE OLYMPICS] Bonus (October 19th rehearsal: 8 songs) New Jersey: Lay Your Hands On Me / Bad Medicine / Blood On Blood (★) / Stick To Your Guns (★★) / Living In Sin (★★) Others: Papa Was A Rolling Stone (★★) [THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH] / Good Lovin' (★) [THE OLYMPICS] / Never Say Goodbye (★★) *Note: The artists in brackets are the original covers. "★" indicates songs that were not included in the official video "KEEP THE FAITH: AN EVENING WITH BON JOVI." In particular, "★★" indicates songs that were only included in the rehearsal. You can really get a sense of the sheer volume of songs. There are a ton of extremely rare covers that can only be heard on this album, but the originals are also not to be missed. Valuables such as "Love For Sale," "Stick To Your Guns," and "Living In Sin" are played one after another. "Fields Of "Fire" may be an unfamiliar track title, but it's an outtake from "KEEP THE FAITH," a rare find that first appeared on the deluxe edition of the follow-up album, "THESE DAYS." While each track is a treasure trove, the overall balance is also intriguing. Rather than selecting tracks from across the albums, "NEW JERSEY" is clearly the centerpiece. It features five songs, the most of any band, performed live, and a whopping seven songs when rehearsals are included. From glam metal that dominated the world to earthy, timeless rock, this complete live album captures that turning point. Bonus rehearsals are also included, allowing you to delve into a wealth of classics not heard on the official release. This two-disc set features stereo soundboard recordings of rehearsals from the October 24, 1992, Kaufman Astoria Studios concert and the October 19, 1992, rehearsals. The official video, "KEEP THE FAITH: AN EVENING WITH BONUS," is also included. This two-disc set features the full show and rehearsal footage from the original "JOVI" album, with official-quality footage. It's packed with rare tracks like "Stick to Your Guns," "Living in Sin," and "Fields of Fire," as well as a variety of covers, all of which aren't available on the official video release.
