Bob Dylan has started his tour this year as if he was going to continue his career for the rest of his life. His latest live recordings are released at the earliest possible time with the best audience. This year's tour, "ALBUQUERQUE 2022" is on sale from the March leg, but after a month and a half off in April, the tour will resume in Spokane on May 28th. This time, the performance will be released at the earliest possible time, but the sound quality of the original audience recording is excellent. Not only is the sound image close, but the overall listening experience is very moist and exquisite. The set list itself is exactly the same as in March and April, but the performance has evolved, which is typical of Dylan. In particular, the old numbers have become more light-hearted, and the lightness of the performance of songs such as "Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I'll Go Mine)" and "To Be Alone With You" is better than during the spring tour. What is even more surprising is that Dylan, who celebrated his 81st birthday four days before this show, is still in top form. Even after turning 80, he still plays the piano freely and sings every repertoire carefully. He even makes a few comments in between, so he has plenty of room. Who could have predicted that a great man from the 60s who has had a career spanning 50 years would continue to stand on the stage so supplely in 2022? His singing of "Every Grain of Sand," which has been the closing number since last year, has evolved since last year, and is simply powerful. Although it is the first day of his second tour this year, the engine is already at full throttle. Dylan is trying to complete his third tour date since the tour resumed during the COVID-19 pandemic last year. And yet it is an audience recording with very good sound quality, and it is amazing to hear him singing so cheerfully that it is hard to believe he is over 80 years old. The backing band that supports Dylan is also solid. The light momentum mentioned earlier is nothing but the band itself enjoying the stage. His allies from the 1960s, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, and The Who, have been touring actively since the beginning of this year, but Dylan is the leader among them. He will continue to tour as long as his body can move... This latest audience album conveys his ever-powerful stage performance and ever-evolving live sound with the finest sound quality!
