Following on from the highly popular "THE FREEWHEELIN' BOB DYLAN RADIO STATION DISC", this time we present an outtake of "THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN'" as a collection of rare recordings from Bob Dylan's folk-era albums. The collection will be released. The source for this release was a collection of sound sources compiled by fans called “TAPES AND ACETATES FROM THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’” that was circulating among traders. However, rather than just converting it into a CD, we have achieved a dramatic improvement in sound quality by replacing most of the recorded sound sources with the latest upgraded sound sources. In addition, unreleased songs included in "THE BOOTLEG SERIES VOLUMES 1-3" are excluded, and rare takes and mixes are re-edited. The first two songs are alternate takes of songs from the album. You'll be surprised to suddenly see a completely different version of "The Times They Are A-Changin'." The next song, "Ballad of Hollis Brown," is an early version recorded during the sessions for the previous album, "THE FREEWHEELIN'." Since then, there is a long list of unreleased songs that were not included in the album, but most of them are new sound sources that appeared at the end of last year, and all of the performances that were familiar from past items are all wonderful stereo recordings. Recording with sound is realized. Many people may have overlooked the existence of such high-quality sound sources such as "Farewell". What may surprise you among these outtakes is that there are many performances in which Dylan sings while playing the piano. Although there was no glimpse of such a piano sound on the actual album, in between sessions he experimented with songs with piano accompaniment so much. However, his piano playing on songs such as "East Laredo Blues" is undeniable, and he may have recorded the songs he played during the session to get used to the song before starting recording. A prime example of this is when she sings Elvis Presley's "That's All Right Mama." In any case, since this is an album that includes a song that is synonymous with folk songs such as "The times are changing," the piano accompaniment may have been considered out of proportion to the album. These piano performance takes have long been a familiar sound source among enthusiasts and traders, but this time they are recorded with the best stereo sound, so you can't miss them. And the second version of “Percy's Song” and “Lay Down Your Weary Tune”, which are recorded in two takes, are also famous outtakes from before, and have already seen the light of day on compilations etc. However, here we have recorded a mono mix from acetate. Although the version heard on the compilation album, etc., is stereo, the echo is stronger, and many people may find this version fresh and attractive as it allows you to feel closer to Dylan and the performance. The second edition following "THE FREEWHEELIN'~" is a compilation album that has rare outtakes from "THE TIMES~" lined up in a high-quality state. The new sound source that appeared last year, which is the main focus of this article, is distributed in the form of analog LP, and many people must have found it inconvenient. What's more, in recording this time, we removed as much of the scratch noise that is characteristic of LPs as possible, and also reviewed the pitch of the entire recorded sound source, aiming to create a perfect collection of outtakes.
