Bob Dylan's historic performance at Fuji Rock is still fresh in our minds. The best live album of the latest tour that has continued since then is now available. What is recorded in this work is “August 6, 2018 Dover performance”. This is part of an Asian tour including Japan. Dylan is currently touring Australia for the first time in four years. First of all, let's check the 2018 schedule to check the latest situation. ・March 22nd - April 27th: Europe (26 performances) ・July 27th - August 6th: Asia (5 performances) ←★Here★ ・August 8th - 28th: Oceania (11 performances)・October 4th - November 20th: North America (31 performances) This is the schedule announced so far. The "Asia" tour included one performance in each of five countries: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The Dover performance of this work is the final day. This was their third concert in Singapore after seven years. This work that inhaled such a show is a truly fresh and neat audience recording. At the Fuji Rock performance the other day, I felt the openness of an outdoor festival with zero echoes, but this work, on the contrary, has a wonderful sound that is unique to an indoor venue. The venue, “THE STAR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER,” is a relatively new venue that opened in 2012 and has a seating capacity of approximately 5,000. In Japan, it is the Tokyo International Forum Class, and various bands/musicians have performed there, including David Foster, DEEP PURPLE, Elton John, and JOURNEY. This work subtly absorbs the beautiful echoes of such a famous venue in Singapore, while conveying Dylan's singing voice and piano touches clearly in every detail. Rather than soundboard-like, it is a sound that allows you to enjoy the beauty of the scene with your whole body, which can only be achieved by the audience. What was even more wonderful was the quiet atmosphere at the scene. Of course, applause spreads throughout the venue between songs, and it's not like the song is quiet. However, such cheering seems far away, and during the performance, the focus is on not missing a single note from Dylan or the piano. The mood is similar to when visiting Japan itself was a rarity. Thanks to this, every vibe is beautifully depicted, from the rise of each note to the moment it disappears. Of course, it is true that the recording itself is excellent, but even more than that, it is a world of beautiful sound realized by the feeling of breathing at the scene. With that quality, the show is like a further expansion of the historic Fuji Rock. The performance in Japan was a little short because it was a festival, but the performance in Singapore was significantly increased. While performing all the same songs as in Japan, the 70's "Tangled Up in Blue", "Gotta Serve Somebody" and "TEMPEST"'s "Pay in Blood" and "Soon After Midnight" will also be played. Most of the songs were played on the "European" tour mentioned above, but only "Gotta Serve Somebody" has been revived for the first time in about seven years. The composition of all original songs became a hot topic in Japan (covers were also performed in Europe), but the concept remains the same in Singapore, with 20 songs running through the rock. A delicious Singer Pol performance that was even more exciting than the wonderful Fuji Rock. This is a masterpiece of a live album that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the scene with the finest sound. And, even though the songs are the same as the Japanese performance, the taste is completely different from the hall show. This is a sequel, an expansion, and a different version of the historic Fuji Rock. Live at the Star Theatre, the Star Performing Arts Centre, Singapore 6th August 2018 PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(56:33) 1.
