Bob Dylan's Japan tour, which lasted almost four weeks, ended with great acclaim. Our store is also continuing to release items starting from the third day in Tokyo, but following last week's Sendai performance, this time the Osaka performance will appear. For this Japan tour, the venue chosen for the Osaka performance was that festival hall. If you're an enthusiast looking forward to our items, you'll know that ZEP929 and Purple are venues that don't need any explanation, but surprisingly, Dylan, a major figure in the rock world, performed at this venue in 1997. Year only (February 17th). This is the first time since then that a concert has been held at the Festival Hall, and during this time the hall has been reborn from the first generation to the second generation, so it could be said that the concert was essentially a new venue. This time, it was originally announced that two shows would be held at the main venue, but an additional show on the third day was announced, and it was held for three consecutive nights. This was also true in Tokyo, but even though the live performance was structured with breaks in between, I was amazed at Dylan's stamina, which easily managed the three-day schedule. The song will be released on April 13th, the third day of the Osaka performance, which was held for three consecutive days. Despite being held at the historic Festival Hall, the attendance slowed down as the three-night performance in Osaka progressed, and the third day, an additional performance, was one of the worst in the history of Dylan's performances in Japan. Is it possible? The number of people mobilized to such an extent that one would think. Thanks to this, the second and third floor seats were covered with black sheets, and there were even lucky episodes where people who had purchased those seats were able to move to the first floor seats. In such a situation, the enthusiasm necessary for live performances may be diminished. However, this kind of place is typical of Dylan's live performances, and it is said that the result was a gathering of enthusiastic fans, and the atmosphere inside the venue was rather enthusiastic. Even more so than that is Dylan himself. Even under these circumstances, they did not get discouraged, or rather, they did not get discouraged and gave a performance with even more spirit than usual. For some time now, Dylan had said something like, ``As long as there is one audience, I will continue to perform live,'' but on this day, Dylan's face was exactly like that. From the opening, the engine is at full throttle and you can listen to the best songs. On this day, it was more like a club gig due to the mobilization, not only from Dylan but also from the audience that had gathered. In that case, it would be no surprise if a special chemistry was created between them and Dylan. The audience recording recorded this time perfectly captures the realism of the live performance, which was made possible by such special circumstances. Up until now, we have released sound sources that we have obtained independently, but this time we have chosen a sound source that has been widely available on the Internet, because of the exceptional quality that the sound source can have. Anyway, the sound image is close! Yet, “Things Have Changed” easily conveys that Dylan and the band are in top condition from the opening. From the beginning, drummer George Licelli's bass drum kick is pleasant! When picking up the sound of such instruments in an audience recording, the low range often resonates, but here it is wonderful to catch the sound of the bass drum without blurring the outline. Even more surprising is Stu Kimball's rhythm guitar. It is now completely in the realm of "sound board", and you can hear his play that supports the framework of the performance in detail. Not only the wonderful reality of each instrument, but also the warm atmosphere of the performance including Dylan's vocals... This is the realism that can only be found at Festival Hall. When the construction of the second Festival Hall was announced, there were even voices of opposition, and the unique ``sound'' unique to this venue has been successfully inherited and contained here. Although it is completely different from the past two titles that we have released, it is a wonderful recording that captures a very attractive sense of presence and warm taste, and that is the charm of this release. And Dylan and the venue were just so hot. In the MC at the end of the first half, Dylan, who uttered the word "everyone" with a unique intonation of "mina saaaan", is full of leeway. Moreover, the excitement in the venue heated up from the second part. There must have been foreign guests around the taper, as Dylan enthusiastically sang "Sprit On The Water" (though it's safe to say he sang passionately this time), and cheers erupted in response to the lyrics. , here again, the excitement and sense of presence is wonderful, which is different from the past two releases. This is a gem where you can thoroughly enjoy a literally special night where fans who truly love Dylan gathered at this Japan performance where the high-quality band sound every night became popular!
