“Speaking of April 2016, it’s Bob Dylan.” I think there are many people who feel that way. It's already been two months since we spent an entire month and 16 performances repainting the archipelago in Dylan's colors. A super-excellent live set that renews that excitement is set to be released. As mentioned earlier, there were a huge number of performances in Japan in 2016, 16 performances, but this work includes "April 11th and 12th, 2016: Osaka Festival Performances" ”. This is an audience album that beautifully captures each and every sound that resounded in the venue, which is said to be a “hall created by God.” First, let's take a look at the overall picture of all 16 performances. [Tokyo performance #1] April 4th-6th: Orchard Hall (3 performances) [Local performances] April 9th: Sendai★ April 11th-13th: Osaka Festival Hall (3 performances) 15th of the month : Nagoya [Tokyo performance #2] April 18th-22nd: Orchard Hall (4 performances) April 23rd: Tokyo Dome City Hall April 25th and 26th: Orchard Hall (2 performances) [Yokohama performance] April 28th: Pacifico Yokohama (dates marked with ★ are included in this work) In this way, there will be a total of three performances at Osaka Festival Hall. This was the initial schedule, the 5th to 7th of a total of 16 performances. Now, let's narrow our focus to just Osaka. ●Osaka Festival Hall 3 performances April 11th: Disc 1 and 2 of this work April 12th: Disc 3 and 4 of this work April 13th: "OSAKA 2016 FINAL NIGHT" This is the 2016 Osaka Festival Hall performance . The best recording of the third performance is “OSAKA 2016 FINAL NIGHT”, but this is the first time to report on the first and second days. You could be forgiven for wondering, "Maybe it's just the leftovers being released after two months," but of course that's not the case. This work is a new sound source that was recently released. The quality is not just a matter of “remaining scraps”, but a transcendent sound that may reign at the top among the masterpieces crowded with recordings made in Japan. In fact, this work was made by a famous recording artist representing Japan, and its clarity, core thickness, direct feeling, acoustic beauty, clarity, balance...every point is perfect. Although we live in a modern era where digital equipment is at its peak, I can't remember the sound up to this point. As the highest compliments, I sometimes write things like ``like a soundboard'' or ``like an official'', but I feel in awe that even such clichéd expressions are considered rude. If you take out one high note, it will be as beautiful as crystal glass, and if you take out one deep bass note, you will be enveloped in the feel of glossy velvet. The direct feel is as clear as an official studio recording, the venue acoustics are crystal clear, and the applause between songs falls gently like fine May rain. It's not just beautiful, it's not just clear, but even the tenacity of the musical tone and the way the echoes fade color the spirit. What kind of equipment should I use and what position should I be in to record such a beautiful sound world? In the first place, was it possible to produce this much sound for audience recording, and was it possible for CDs to be played by speakers? It's a sound that opens your mind to the possibilities of the act of "recording sound" itself. What is even more awe-inspiring is that the two performances are of the same quality. I don't think I would ever have the privilege of being in the same position, but how could I make the same miracle happen twice? To be honest, the content of Bob Dylan's show this time is very similar, and it is difficult to deliver many performances to the general public. Especially now that two months have passed. However, it is still a beautiful world that I cannot help but convey. I want as many people as possible to know the fact that this sound existed. I can't pretend I don't know. This release is filled with that feeling. For those of you who still can't wake up from the "dream of April 2016", this is the best music.
