To commemorate Bob Dylan's visit to Japan, we have prepared something outrageous! ! The first DVD and Blu-ray was recently released, and it has become a hot topic among fans.A gorgeous show celebrating the 30th anniversary of Bob Dylan's debut, held at Madison Square Garden on October 16, 1992. The legendary tribute concert "30th Anniversary Concert" with guests was broadcast on the national broadcaster Hi-Vision in October 1992 for two consecutive nights for a total of 3 hours and 32 minutes. The original broadcast take (hosted by Eiji Ogura) is recorded in the highest quality version that can be declared as official. Last month, the 1992 version was rebroadcast on BS Premium for the first time in 22 years, and I think it caused a lot of attention among enthusiasts, but this take contains the uncut full-length version of the original 1992 broadcast. (And in the highest quality!). The explanation for last month's rebroadcast also stated, ``In 1992, high-definition was still in its infancy, and this ``30th Anniversary Concert'' was also in the test broadcast stage, so only a small number of people could listen to it. That's right, among those "very few" there are hard collectors who are still alive and well, and they are the ones who want to record such an important performance broadcast in the highest quality. Perhaps it is natural to say so. The clear video footage that has been carefully kept by enthusiasts for nearly 22 years! Many fans may say that they never expected to be able to watch the original version of this legendary program again in such great quality. This original broadcast includes 4 songs that have not been recorded on the latest reissue DVD/BRD. The first half is George Thorogood's Wanted Man (who also opened for the Stones in 1981) and Sophie B. Hawkins' I Want You, and the second half is George Harrison's If Not For You and Bob Dylan's Song To Woody. . (Sinead O'Connor, who was not included in the 1993 official video, was included in the latest DVD.) It is natural that it has great value just because it is a complete version, but what is even more amazing about this take is that it is not included in the official video. Not only can you see it, but the cut editing is different in some places from the official reissue. You can check the differences between the 1992 version and the latest 2014 version on the video site below. You can see that the cuts are quite different. There is also the difference that the cropping this time is screen size, whereas in 1992 it was cathode ray tube size. One more thing: Dylan's singing on that day was not very good, so My Back Pages had him re-recording the song, but there are some points in this broadcast where you can hear his original vocals from that day. George Harrison (his first concert appearance in the United States in 18 years), Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash, Lou Reed, June Carter Cash, The Clancys Brothers, Richie Heavens, Johnny Winter, Roger McGuinn, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Wood, Chrissie Hynde, O'Jays, Eddie Vedder (Pearl) Jam), Sinead O'Connor, Tracy Chapman, and other gorgeous star artists gathered to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dylan's debut. The historic live show in New York in 1992 is captured in the original domestic broadcast full of the mood of the time.
