Dylan and the Dead performed together in 1987, six times at stadiums starting on July 4th, and the official live album is well known. This DVD contains a nearly complete recording of the July 26th concert at Anaheim Stadium in California, with the first half of the concert recorded on a soundboard and the second half recorded in good quality audience recordings. Although three songs from the second half were later included on the official live album, it's great to hear the whole thing here. Dylan's vocals during this concert were monotone, off-key, and even purposely out of sync with the band, so it seems that he was not doing a good job with the band. In fact, several members of the Dead have said that they never wanted to perform together again, so this is a precious document of just that one summer. (DISC 1 : Soundboard Recordings) 01.
