The original BLUE MURDER was the strongest trio of the 1980s, while John Sykes was a solo act. The ultimate soundboard has been brushed up. It will be released on 2CD with meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". This work is engraved with the "August 25, 1989: Nippon Seinenkan" performance. It is a super-excellent stereo soundboard recording. This sound source is a symbol. It is a soundboard leaked by the people involved at the time, and collectors around the world are shocked by the superb sound quality despite being directly connected to the mix table. It is a live album that replaces the official one...no, it has caused even more acclaim, and has been given an absolute evaluation that is comparable to the studio work "BLUE MURDER". This work is the latest version in 2024 that updates the highest peak. Before the quality of the work, let's first look at the position of the show. It's a good opportunity, so let's take a look at the outline of the original BLUE MURDER's activities. "BLUE MURDER" released on April 24th - July 10th-29th: North America #1 (15 performances) - August 20th-27th: First visit to Japan (7 performances) ←★Here★ - September 12th-October 7th: North America #2 (13 performances) - October 22nd-December 2nd: North America #3 (14 performances) ←※RITZ 1989 This is BLUE MURDER in 1989. John Sykes is known as one of the most lazy people in the rock scene, and his career is too small contrary to his reputation. Other than THIN LIZZY and WHITESNAKE, there are almost no large-scale tours, and since he became independent, the above is almost the only decent (?) world tour. Among them, the performance at the Japan Youth Hall in this work was the fifth concert of the Japan tour. As mentioned above, such a show is famous for having a completely official super-soundboard, but this work is the pinnacle of it. It was transferred from the original DAT master leaked by a related party, and then polished up by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". The sound is a masterpiece that pursues a natural feel while retaining the amazing quality of the official level. "GRAF ZEPPELIN" mastering is natural-oriented and does not aim for excessive sound pressure, but focuses on correction/repair like the restoration of cultural assets. Instead (?), it is a method that updates the highest peak with extraordinary precision. In this work, the pitch/phase is adjusted with a precision that does not allow even a deviation of 1/1000 seconds, and various noises are thoroughly processed. Although the original is too amazing, the changes are not very flashy, but the most effective one is the balance adjustment. In fact, this sound source was recorded with a balance that was slightly weaker in the bass. Although it was adjusted in the conventional version, it was raised overall. As a result, the mid-high range was over-peaked and a slight distortion occurred (the so-called groove waveform). In the mastering common sense of the time, this distortion was considered "unavoidable," but "GRAF ZEPPELIN" is different. The overall gain is lowered once to create room for the peak, and then only the low range is raised. This allows the bass to be strengthened without generating distortion or noise, and the overall balance is also improved. It seems easy to say, but of course it is not. There is know-how to "lower the whole," and the tricks such as the amount of lowering and frequency are different depending on whether the treble or bass is strengthened afterwards. This work is also the result of such meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN." The highest peak renewal sound is drawn, and the full show of the original BLUE MURDER, which has a different flavor from later years. Tony Franklin and Carmine Appice's virtuosity is also amazing, but the fact that the three are equal is unique to that time. Here, let's organize the set that clearly expresses the band concept. Originals (8 songs) Blue Murder: Riot/Valley Of The Kings (★)/Out Of Love (★)/Billy/Ptolemy (★)/Jelly Roll/Blue Murder Others: Boogie On The Good Foot (★) Covers (4 songs) Hot Legs (★: Rod Stewart)/Still Of The Night (WHITESNAKE)/Closer (★: THE FIRM)/Purple Haze (★: Jimi Hendrix) *Note: ★ marks are limited to debut era songs. ...And so on. Not only John's WHITESNAKE, but also Rod Stewart/THE FIRM repertoire, which Carmine and Tony were in, are featured. "Boogie On The Good Foot" may be an unfamiliar song title, but it is an instrumental number that Sykes introduces as a "new song", a jam-like unreleased song in which the three of them battle it out in a spectacular manner. And a big performance of the masterpiece "BLUE MURDER" number. Seven of the nine songs were performed, and there were plenty of masterpieces that could not be heard on the subsequent tour. In particular, "Out Of Love" was a super masterpiece. Sykes's tears exploded on the album, but on stage it was several times more intense. The wailing guitar solo was poured into the brain. Perhaps the tuning was out of whack, or the position was wrong, but "Still Of The Night" was out of tune, but the ferocious ensemble that even felt like momentum was amazing no matter how many times I listened to it. It's too amazing. This is a live performance version of the great masterpiece "BLUE MURDER", and it is a full live album that condenses the essence of the "rock trio" where the latter of the scene collide with each other with all their might. This is a masterpiece among masterpieces that "GRAF ZEPPELIN" has mastered the pinnacle of such a symbolic sound board. A super-excellent stereo sound board recording of the performance "August 25, 1989: Nippon Seinenkan". This is the highest peak updated version that was transferred from the actual DAT master leaked by the related parties and polished by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". The previous version had subtle distortion due to the sacrifice of bass reinforcement, but this work has been meticulously mastered and has a perfect natural feel. It is an absolute official version that allows you to enjoy the full show unique to the three equal "original BLUE MURDER". Remastering notes ★ EQ slightly processed. Low range boost ★ It was slightly light, but has been somewhat corrected.
