BLACKMORE'S NIGHT is the life's work discovered by Ritchie Blackmore, who was 52 years old at the time. We present to you the live album of the ``November 8, 1997 Tokyo International Forum Performance'', which was the highlight performance of the Monument Tour. Let's take a look at the schedule again, including the relationship with 2CD x 2. ・November 2nd: Nakano Sun Plaza (additional performance, first day in Tokyo) ・November 3rd: Aichi Welfare Pension Center ・November 4th: Kobe International House Harborland Plaza "KOBE 1997" ・November 6th: Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall・November 7th: Osaka Festival Hall “OSAKA 1997”・November 8th: Tokyo International Forum [This work]・November 10th: Kanagawa Kenmin Hall・November 11th: Sendai Sunplaza Hall In this way, The Tokyo International Forum performance is the day after "OSAKA 1997". Today, it is a standard venue for outside performances, and is well-known for family bands such as DEEP PURPLE and WHITESNAKE, but it opened in 1997. This is the only time (so far) that Richie has stood on this stage. And this Tokyo International Forum was the biggest performance of the 1997 tour, and even the biggest performance including the return visit to Japan in 2004. From the musicality point of view, I'm not sure if it suits 5,000 people, but it's definitely a highlight, and it's a live album that shows the spirit of playing in such a large venue. This work, which includes such an international forum performance, is a recording that was once normally released as "STREET OF DREAMS". The quality is outstanding, using the original DAT directly handed down by the recording artist himself, and even though the clear musical sound fills the venue, the core stands out clearly. Unfortunately, there is a momentary digital noise at 2:50 of "Under A Violet Moon". It's really a slight noise, but since BLACKMORE'S NIGHT is all about the lustrous musical tones, the noise that disturbs the beautiful melodies is momentary. On the contrary, it is also a masterpiece recording where you can fully enjoy a wonderful sound world for about 1 hour and 50 minutes with no other flaws. The international forum performance depicted with such quality is clearly different from other venues. I wrote earlier that he had the "spirit to perform at a large venue," but not only that, but perhaps he had some leeway after the 6th performance, or perhaps he had lost some ground due to the enthusiasm of the Osaka performance, and the performance was clearly becoming more dynamic. Candice Knight's singing voice, which usually stands out as ephemeral, was delivered to every corner of the venue! I feel so strong as if I were saying that. What was even more different from other venues was the loud cheers that filled the venue. This visit to Japan was such a success that an additional performance was held at Nakano Sunplaza. Even in this production, the huge applause from the audience floods in like a wave. In particular, the RAINBOW song explodes with an irresistible passion. Just by saying the name Candice, “Next is RAINBOW,” a roar shakes the venue, and during “16th Century Greensleeves,” a vast plain of 5,000 people clap their hands. Just when I was listening so quietly that I could almost hear the sound of a needle dropping, I heard the dynamism of loud applause. Encouraged by this, the band's performance becomes even more powerful. Ritchie was also nervous from beginning to end, and when the audience called out "Ritchie!", he himself repeated "Ritchie!". It has been 25 years since they first came to Japan in 1972, and 19 years have passed since this live show, and it is still an unbelievable scene. Furthermore, “Wish You Were Here”, which could not be heard in Kobe or Osaka, jumps out, and this highlight performance concludes. The scene at the Tokyo International Forum is different from Kobe and Osaka. This is a vacuum-packed product with all of that and great sound. I hate the digital noise of "Under A Violet Moon". If only this moment had not existed... A live album full of wonderful sounds and wonderful performances that even such complaints are leaked out. Since we are now in the midst of a new label, we would like everyone to know that we have another masterpiece recording. I want you to remember. With these thoughts in mind, I present this to you.
