Among the many collector's sound sources of BLACK SABBATH, one of the most problematic sound sources has unexpectedly appeared. After the release of "HEAVEN AND HELL," SABBATH toured the United States for approximately three months from July to October, performing high-quality shows in cities across the United States. This work is the second half of the performance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 9th, and although there is some distance from the stage, the clearness and atmosphere of the venue are both recorded in perfect condition. This Milwaukee performance initially started without incident, but at the end of the second song, "Neon Knights," Geezer Butler was injured by a bottle thrown from the audience, and the performance was interrupted. In the end, the show was canceled. It was a controversial show, with angry audience members turning into a mob and destroying the venue, causing a panic that engulfed the entire city. It seems that this recording was included in SABBATH's rare sound collection "Chaos Seeds" which was distributed overseas, but only the riot scene in question was recorded from "Supertzar", which was released before the riot occurred. Although it is only about 25 minutes long, it is a historically extremely valuable sound source that captures the entire performance of the day, the entire riot, and the noisy atmosphere outside the venue. For the band, they probably never thought that this show would be a big deal, but for the recorders, they probably never expected that their recordings would become evidence of a serious incident rather than a live performance. From the opening Supertzar to War Pigs and Neon Knights, the performance is full of vigor, typical of SABBATH. The fans at the venue are also giving enthusiastic support to Ronnie, and if the show continues as it is, this sound source may have been positioned as an excellent audience recording representative of the tour. Things change completely after Neon Knights ends. Immediately after Ronnie calls the song title "N.I.B.", you can hear the sound of something falling on the stage, but it may be that Geezer was injured at this time. According to Geezer's recollections, as he was about to start the intro to "N.I.B.," he felt what felt like a blow to the head, noticed he was bleeding, and was taken from the stage to his dressing room. that's right. Ronnie notices something strange and asks the MC to turn on the lights. Afterwards, he protests to the audience in an angry but calm tone, saying, ``The stage is not a trash can.'' Even though he uses the strong word "tough shit" at the end, Ronnie responds in a calm manner in this situation, and it can be said that he is a person of great character. After the band leaves the stage, the tour manager announces the end of the show by telling the audience, "Geezer is injured and can't play," which ends up sparking a riot. The ferocity of the riot that occurs from here approaches the listener with a vivid sound, as the raw recording is excellent. The sight of chairs flying and slamming into the floor, the noise of something shattering, the scream of a woman as if tearing silk, and the terrifying sirens of emergency bells and police cars... Even for the taper who was in the middle of the turmoil, this must have been a life-threatening recording without any exaggeration. A real document title that can be said to be an important piece when talking about the history of the band. This is a must listen! Live at Mecca Arena, Milwaukee, WI.
