The original Sabbath finally started in 2012, and there were only three live performances, the warm-up Birmingham, Download, and Lulapalooza. The second performance, the Download Festival, held at Donington Park on June 10th, was recorded in full from a high-quality audience master with a sense of realism that sets it apart from online distribution. It was recorded with amazing quality that you wouldn't think it was outdoors, and the cheers were hardly noticeable. The set list was also a different order from the previous Birmingham set, and Bill Ward, who had joined the three original members Ozzy, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler when the plan for the reunion tour and new work was announced the previous year, ended up being unable to repair his relationship with the members, so the live performance with Ozzy Osbourne band drummer Tommy Clufetos as a replacement was still special. And although no new songs were performed, the opening was of course a parade of Sabbath classics.
