The final version of the first trilogy, the great masterpiece "MASTER OF REALITY" that is the origin of doom rock. A release has been decided that reprints the original British sound. The debut work "BLACK SABBATH" was reprinted from the original British 1st press LP the other day. The original sound that has never been heard before has caused a sensation and has become very popular. This work is the second in the series. It is the 3rd album "MASTER OF REALITY". The sound this time is also amazing. In fact, this work was produced in the same environment and process by the same audio enthusiast as the recent "BLACK SABBATH". The mint quality version of the first edition LP "6360 050" of the British Vertigo was excavated and digitized in the high-end environment that can be desired today. The quality is on a different level from the analog transcriptions out there. Despite no work being done after digitization, there is not a single needle crack and no uneven rotation is felt at all. Even when officially recording, correction and restoration work is done after digitalization, but even without that, the quality is miraculously flawless. The unprocessed sound of the British first press LP that was extracted in this way is very real. As mentioned in the commentary on "BLACK SABBATH," there are currently remasters in the US (RHINO version) and the US (SANCTUARY version), but this work is the highest peak of the US version. In particular, the RHINO remaster CD, which is the current global standard, is a completely different world. The rugged, three-dimensional RHINO version is powerful at first listen, but the peaks are intense, the drum beats pierce your ears, and the bass feels clogged as if it has a limiter. The SANCTUARY version is quite close to the original, but the remaster CD still has an unnatural feel, as if only the peaks were pulled up with tweezers. In contrast to the current remasters, this work has a lower sound pressure because it is an analogue copy, but even when the volume is turned up, the sound does not collapse, and an extremely natural and smooth vibe continues from fortissimo to pianissimo. This masterpiece, revived with such an original sound, is simply deep. Unlike the debut work, the 60's sense is subdued and the pursuit of a heavy ensemble is wonderful. Unlike remastered CDs that emphasize power and impact and make them uneven, the response is overwhelming because all ranges of sound are smooth. The junior doom rock group simply pursues a dragging weight, but the original BLACK SABBATH also depicts a sense of orderly construction at the same time. The weight of a building made up of one riff and one percussive drumming, and the reality of tracing the walls of that sound building with your hand. The "sound with mass" absorbed into the original master tape is reproduced. "MASTER OF REALITY" was created with Roger Bain, polishing the songs and individuality from the studio jam-like debut album. Unlike "VOL.4" and after, where they started to experiment with self-producing, recording overseas, and introducing a variety of instruments, this is a masterpiece that has perfected the pure SABBATH sound. What flows from this work is the "real sound" that was heard at Island Studios in London at that historic moment. This is the one and only original British LP that has kept that sound to the present day. Taken from the UK original LP (Vertigo, 6360 050) *Best Ever Sound (34:37) 1. Sweet Leaf 2. After Forever 3.
