The third part of the disbandment tour “THE END”, a live album from the European tour, is now available. This work was recorded at “Berlin performance on June 8, 2016”. This week, the first night of the European leg, ``BUDAPEST 2016,'' will also appear, so let's check the schedule. ・June 1, 2016: Budapest “BUDAPEST 2016” ・June 3, 2016: Nuremberg ・June 5, 2016: Mendig ・June 8, 2016: Berlin [This work] ・June 11, 2016 Sun: Castle Donington ・June 13, 2016: Verona ・June 17, 2016: Zurich These are the first 7 performances of the 18 performances in the European leg. This work is an audience album that is the 4th performance of the European leg and the 29th performance of “THE END” out of 77 performances overall. As I introduced in the commentary for "BUDAPEST 2016", "North American Leg #1", which ended in March of this year, was a treasure trove of super powerful recordings that could be said to be a sound source abnormal situation. However, this time's "European leg" has shown momentum that even surpassed the North American leg from the start. It was transcendent from the first night's "BUDAPEST 2016", but this work on the fourth night is also equally transcendent. The sound is as awesome as the tops of the North American leg, ``WINNIPEG 2016'' and ``BUDAPEST 2016.'' “BUDAPEST 2016” had a strong impact with a bass sound that I had never heard before, but considering the overall symmetry, this one is better. Adam Wakeman's keyboard is proof of that. In BLACK SABBATH, the keyboard is not arranged flashy, and in many recordings you even feel like “Is there a keyboard?”, but in this work, even Adam sounds beautiful. “Snowblind” and “Dirty Women” particularly make you feel the power of this. “Snowblind” has a profound feeling created by the thick, roaring Mellotron, and the organ solo of “Dirty Women”... Although it is a song that can be played by four people, it is a version that is even more colorful and exudes a sense of fantasy. All the musical sounds, including those from the keyboard, are so straight forward that they are so rich and thick that even the compliment of "just like a soundboard" fades away. Furthermore, if we were to mention the unique characteristics of this work, we must not forget the enthusiasm of the German guys. Of course, the enthusiasm is never high volume, and the balance is beautiful like the official version. Moreover, the musical tones like the whip of Aranawa overwhelm everything, no matter how enthusiastic they are. However, the chanting of "Hey! Hey!" on the ride was so loud and Chinese-sounding! In "BUDAPEST 2016", the faint speaking voices gave off a free atmosphere, but this time, the concentration and respect given to BLACK SABBATH was fierce, and they roared in an orderly manner like an army. As expected, this is the biggest heavy metal nation in modern times. It is a cheer that gives even dignity to the profound performance of a traditional band. In the commentary for "BUDAPEST 2016", I wrote, "It even surpassed the abnormal North American leg!!", but if it was just one, I wouldn't say that much. Following the first night, the fourth night was also outstanding. Even though the North American leg was abnormal, it wasn't at such a high pace or rush. The third part of “THE END” was a uniquely powerful start in the history of BLACK SABBATH…no, even in the history of rock. I don't know how long this miracle will last, but this tour is the last. A superb product that only those who thoroughly follow “BLACK SABBATH’s final journey” will know. Please enjoy it to the fullest!
