The third edition of the top generation master series of legendary recordings! This time's master is the Offenbach performance in Germany on June 2nd from the 1980 "HEAVEN AND HELL" European tour immediately after Ronnie James Dio joined. This is a super definitive album of “Bill Ward & Ronnie Dio” that only lasted a few months! It is revived here in a completely limited edition of 2 CDs, worthy of the status of an ultra-high-quality audience source that has been certified as the "top of the best" by enthusiasts around the world! In the late 1970s, when BLACK SABBATH was in turmoil, Tony Iommi fired Ozzy Osbourne for his ruthless act of ``crying and cutting his horse.'' He welcomed Ronnie James Dio as a new vocalist and created the historical masterpiece "HEAVEN AND HELL". After releasing the album, SABBATH performed 7 warm-up performances in late April, followed by a large-scale UK tour in May, and a full-fledged European tour in June. They loudly announced the new birth of the band. The recording of the Offenbach performance in Germany on June 2nd, the first day of the European tour, is a classic that has been loved by enthusiasts for many years. Among Ronnie SABBATH, he was famous for being able to enjoy the rare number "Lonely Is The Word" only when Bill Ward was enrolled with high quality sound. ``OFFENBACH MASTER 1980'', a direct digitized version of the original master, received high praise among collectors and in specialized magazines. The difference in the sound is overwhelming, such as the freshness of the master that is incomparable to the lower-level source sound sources that have appeared for more than 10 years, and the easy-to-listen sound quality that is free from cloudiness and noise. This time, we remastered the master of "OFFENBACH MASTER 1980". While maintaining the natural sound, depth and spaciousness of the original master, the CD has been remastered to further enhance the realism and entertainment value of the sound, making it a long-awaited CD! It has returned as a masterpiece worthy of being positioned as a representative of "Bill & Ronnie's SABBATH", which produced the super masterpiece "HEAVEN AND HELL"! From the live opening songs "Supertzar" and "War Pigs", the difference in sound is clear even when compared to "OFFENBACH MASTER 1980", not to mention the previous releases of lower masters. It will amaze listeners from the beginning with its outstanding brightness, overwhelming power, and sense of realism that vividly captures the passionate mood of the venue. Iommi, Geezer, and Bill create a sound full of heaviness and unconventionalism that is unmistakably the "original SABBATH" sound. Then Ronnie's singing, which is completely different from Ozzy's, echoes! Listeners can enjoy the chemical reaction created by the collision of different personalities with the realism of the venue itself. Bill's drumming is very doomy and sabbatical compared to the metal aesthetic of Vinnie Appice that we are familiar with, such as ``LIVE EVIL'' and the later reunion of HEAVEN & HELL. The unique rhythms that evoke a feeling of irritation in ``War Pigs'' and ``N.I.B.'' and the languorous grooves in songs such as ``Sweet Leaf'' are unique to him. The combination of this unique drum sound and Ronnie's singing can only be heard from April to August 1980. After that, no matter how many times they reunited, it was a magical sound that never returned! Also, in "Neon Knights", where Ronnie approaches with the rough singing voice unique to the 1980 tour, it is unusual that the 1st chorus has a slightly different singing pattern than usual. This is something that attracts even the most enthusiastic enthusiasts. In Ronnie SABBATH's '80s live shows, the song that followed "N.I.B." had a strong image of being "Children Of The Sea," but only in May and June of '80 did "Lonely Is The Word" appear in the first half. However, “Children Of The Sea” has an irregular placement before “Black Sabbath”. “Lonely Is The Word” is the highlight of this work. Even in the famous album "HEAVEN AND HELL", Iommi's guitar is strong and sticky, and the passion is overflowing, and Ronnie's outstanding singing ability and sense of melody make this a hidden masterpiece that stands out. Several live takes of this song have been discovered in recent years, but in the end, no take that surpasses this day has appeared. The clean sound of this work is truly on a different “level”. In the future, unless a new soundboard take is discovered, the throne of this work will not be shaken! “Black Sabbath” at the beginning of disc 2 is also a must-listen. The deep, dark tones spread out like a bottomless pit, accompanied by an indescribable eeriness! This is the sound that only the “three original SABBATH members” can create. On the other hand, in "Heaven And Hell," Iommi's guitar and Geezer's bass create a majestic sound world that seems to loudly proclaim that a new era has arrived for SABBATH. Both are numbers that are unique to SABBATH, but Ronnie, who can create the best drama for both of them with greatly different musical ideas, can only be called a unique genius vocalist. At the end of the live show, the exciting development continued from "Iron Man", which is synonymous with heaviness, to Iommi's long free solo, and then to the dramatic "Die Young" and "Paranoid". At the beginning of the encore “Children Of The Grave”, there is a slight accident (Ronnie’s impromptu recovery is wonderful!), and there is plenty of document feeling unique to audience recording. Speaking of “Bill Ward & Ronnie Dio”, the presence of the sound board “CHILDREN OF THE BLACK DEFINITIVE EDITION” at the Hartford, Connecticut performance on August 10th during the American tour is absolute. However, the natural feeling of the legendary audience recording and the advantage of the rare song “Lonely Is The Word” are still strong. For deep fans, this work will be the best that surpasses the sound board! 100 minutes of valuable orchestration, songs, and live performances.
