The legendary vintage recording of early Sabbath has been upgraded and reissued! The original reel sound, polished by meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN", has been decided to be released. This legendary recording was recorded at the "April 18, 1971 Copenhagen Performance". This is the finest audience recording. Speaking of 1971, it was also the time when the "PARANOID Tour" and "MASTER OF REALITY Tour" intersected. First of all, let's look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 1970 “PARANOID Tour” ・September 11-15: Europe #1a (4 shows) 《September 18th release of “Paranoid”》 ・September 20-October 26: Europe #1b (21 shows) ←※BRUSSELS 1970 ・October 30-November 28: North America #1 (31 shows) ・December 5-19: Europe #2 (6 shows) ←※COPENHAGEN 1970 1971 ・January 7-23: Europe #3 (11 shows) ・January 31: MYPONGA OPEN AIR appearance 《February 5th production of “Master of Reality” begins》 ・February 17-April 2: North America #2 (40 shows) "Master of Reality" completed on April 5th - April 14th-26th: Europe #4 (10 performances) ←★Here★ "MASTER OF REALITY Tour" - July 1st-31st: North America #1 (29 performances) ←※BEGGARS' BANQUET DANCE - September 4th-7th: Europe #1 (3 performances) - September 10th-October 28th: North America #2 (23 performances) This is the full view of the two tours "PARANOID Tour" / "MASTER OF REALITY Tour". The Copenhagen performance of this work was the fifth concert of "Europe #4", which was still just barely "PARANOID Tour" while completing "MASTER OF REALITY". Speaking of "PARANOID Tour Copenhagen", "COPENHAGEN 1970" is still fresh in my memory, but this work is a different performance four months later. Such a show is also known for the beautiful and superb recordings that were left behind, and has been loved as "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM". This work is the highest peak ever, a detailed reprint of the original reel master. The previous work "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM" was also created from the reel master, but after digitization it was made into pseudo-stereo. It was processed and released (there are also sound sources that are said to be LP-made now, but they are also pseudo-stereo). This work is the master before such processing. It is a truly natural mono transfer board. Of course, it is not just mono. The meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" makes the most of the flavor of such an original master. "GRAF ZEPPELIN" deals with various sound sources, but its specialty is audience recording. It is also a vintage recording from the 1970s. Recently, obsessive mastering precision has also spread, but its true value lies in vintage recording knowledge. What kind of sound does the 70's amplifier emit, how does the microphone of that time pick it up, and how does the analog tape deteriorate? It is because of his thorough knowledge of these that he can see the "sound of the scene" behind the sound he is hearing. He does not simply earn sound pressure and finish it flashy, but aims for the "sound of the scene" to achieve a realistic sound. And this work also demonstrates his skills to the fullest. The pitch deviation, type of noise, and sound characteristics are slightly different between LP transcription and tape transcription, but they are completely restored. Since it is a mono sound without a pseudo-stereo feeling, it should not be flashy, but each sound is so clear that it does not sound plain. The sound depicts a show that was brilliantly shown "just after the 3rd was completed". Let's check out the set here. Black Sabbath (2 songs N.I.B./Black Sabbath Paranoid (4 songs) War Pigs/Iron Man/Paranoid/Fairies Wear Boots Master of Reality (1 song) Into The Void ... and so on. At first glance, it may seem like a super royal road with no rare songs, but that's because it's a modern sensibility. In fact, "Into The Void" became a standard after the reunion, and it was a very rare song that was only played a few times in the 70s. Of course, this is the best sound version. Furthermore, this concentration itself is very rare. After the reunion, the members themselves re-examined the "songs essential to the original Sabbath", and the conclusion was "the above 7 songs + Children Of The Grave" for 8 songs. The oldest record of "Children Of The Grave" is "BEGGARS' BANQUET DANCE" so it was not yet performed at the time of this work, but the other seven songs are covered. There are only two shows that have been completed so far, "BEGGARS' BANQUET DANCE" and this work, even among the many 70's recordings. The devil's famous recording "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM" taught many Sabbath fans "the taste of vintage recordings" and pushed them into collector hell. This is the highest peak update that precisely reproduces the original reel sound. This is early Sabbath. This is the 70's. This is vintage sound. The previously released version had a bulging sound due to the pseudo-stereo, which was interesting in itself, but this time it is a genuine mono sound. However, since precise bandwidth adjustment has been applied, the sound is clearer and clearer than the previously released version. This is the best audience recording of the "Copenhagen performance on April 18, 1971". This is the highest peak ever recorded by precisely reproducing the original reel master of one of the best vintage recordings in the 1970s. Previous works were pseudo-stereo processed. This work is the master before such processing. Moreover, the detailed mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" has improved the sound clarity and brightness. You can enjoy the extremely rare 1970s song "Into The Void" with a truly natural mono transfer that accurately reproduces the "1971 sound output".
