Why are we attracted to "vintage recordings"? Even though it was recorded in an era when performance equipment and recording equipment were primitive, it grips the heart and never lets go. What is it about this rich sound that resonates more in the soul than in the eardrums? An unprecedented excavation board has appeared that will tell you the answer more eloquently than words! This sound, this music. Things like this suddenly appear, so we haven't given up on the earth yet! This work was recorded on April 18, 1971 in Copenhagen, Denmark, during the final stage of the "PARANOID" tour. This is a live performance that we just finished recording the famous album "MASTER OF REALITY" about two weeks ago. Although this recording remains in the record as the old bootleg LP "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM", it was a phantom album that hardly ever circulated and few people knew about. In recent years, the LP has been discovered, and its high sound quality has become a hot topic on the internet (one trade site rated it as "Special A"). This time, we succeeded in direct copying not from the LP, but from the original master reel of the “big book”! The rich sound of Master Direct is of the highest quality, which is completely different from online sound sources that have been repeatedly compressed and degraded, and it is far from an illusion, it is the ultimate piece that approaches its source! Its rich vintage sound is indescribable. It's completely different from the glaring soundboard that appeals to everyone like the famous album "MONTREUX 1970," but it's an audience sound that never cracks and gently envelops you. The air floating in the Copenhagen venue seems to be leaking out of the speakers. Although it is an “audience recording from over 40 years ago”, it is an amazing sound image with outstanding clarity and three-dimensionality. However, because it is an “audience recording from over 40 years ago”, it has a freshness and a rich feel. And noise-free rich sound that only Master Direct can provide. The analog recordings previously discovered by other companies were also wonderful live albums, but this natural and direct feeling, and the reality of turning the room into a venue from 40 years ago, is something completely different. There is even the impression that the sound becomes an object and jumps out, and even the applause between songs is very realistic. What is recorded with its neat sound is the “ultimate BLACK SABBATH”. The live show will be held with a set list made up of only those trilogy, maintaining the potential of the band that created the historical masterpieces ``BLACK SABBATH'', ``PARANOID'', and ``MASTER OF REALITY''. The jam number “Wicked World”, which was probably played on the day, is missing, but it creates a sense of condensation and can be listened to as one album at once. In fact, even if you look at all of SABBATH's sound sources, there are no other seven songs that are as dense as this, and for enthusiasts who have dedicated their lives to SABBATH, it will serve as the "supreme best album". The energy and heaviness of the performances of “N.I.B.” and “War Pigs” that are repeated from the opening are unparalleled. The stagnant atmosphere of a dark and damp abandoned house spreads from the intro, such as the suspiciousness of "Black Sabbath." Perhaps the result of repeated album releases and live performances, ``'71'' is characterized by a more cohesive band compared to ``'70,'' immediately after their debut. Already, they are achieving a balance between the energetic wildness typical of the original SABBATH and the performance that allows you to listen to the exact performance. You can especially feel this in "War Pigs" and "Iron Man." You can see the performance that has grown from the "'70" version, which was still rough, and has become well-organized, while at the same time demonstrating the explosive play and gravity unique to the stage, which is unique to early SABBATH! Even more special is “Into The Void” which was played live prior to “MASTER OF REALITY”. After this, although it was sealed for a long time, it was revived in the 1990s, and is now a familiar song at both SABBATH / Ozzy's live performances. Even in this live performance, there is no feeling of floating that is often seen in so-called "rare" songs, and it is full of persuasive power that cannot be overshadowed even by a group of great masterpieces. It has been played occasionally on the "PARANOID" tour, and it has been confirmed four times including this work, but this one, which stands out in terms of sound quality, will be the decisive blow. The climax of the live was the promised “Paranoid” followed by the encore “Fairies Wear Boots”. “I’ve already listened to dozens of takes”? No, no, that was the golden "'71." This amazing live album concludes with a fulfilling performance and sound that will blow away even the most hardcore enthusiasts! Again, what we have here is not a crystal clear soundboard, nor is it a substitute for one. It's just a "vintage audience". It's also extremely deep and rich. Highly recommended not only for British rock vintage enthusiasts, but also for those interested in what luxury vintage looks like. A live show that packed the most delicious parts of BLACK SABBATH into "one show", and it became a rich and neat real sound that spread throughout the room. This is the magic of “vintage recording” itself, its “extreme”. A luxurious moment that only British fans can enjoy, 50 minutes that transcend time and space. Please experience it yourself!
