Ronnie James Dio, who returned after 10 years and left BLACK SABBATH again with one album and one tour. A historic masterpiece video that allows you to experience his last stage is here. The last concert was "November 13, 1992 Oakland performance". This work is a spectacular audience shot that allows you to experience the whole story. At that time, Ronnie was asked to open the Ozzy retirement concert and refused. He decided to leave BLACK SABBATH. If you only hear the details, you may misunderstand that he threw out the tour, but of course it is not. For his honor, let's first look at the schedule and look back on the circumstances at that time. {June 22nd release of "DEHUMANIZER"} June 23rd-July 4th: South America (9 shows) ←※DEHUMANIZED IN THE SOUTH July 24th-August 9th: North America #1 (13 shows) August 15th: Super Rock Mannheim appearance September 1st-8th: UK (6 shows) September 12th-16th: Europe (6 shows) ←※DEHUMANIZED MONSTERS October 12th-November 15th: North America #2 (26 shows) ★Here★ Ronnie was a professional until the night before he left the band This is BLACK SABBATH in 1992. Speaking of the footage of the "DEHUMANIZER Tour", the professional shots of the Rio de Janeiro and Reggio Emilia shows are famous, and are familiar as sets in "DEHUMANIZED IN THE SOUTH" and "DEHUMANIZED MONSTERS", respectively. As mentioned above, the final show of the tour was Ozzy's retirement concert (2 shows) in Costa Mesa, but Ronnie did not participate. Rob Halford of JUDAS PRIEST took his place. The replacement was quite a rush. Let's focus on the schedule here. Details of "North America #2" October 12th - November 8th: North America #2 (21 shows) November 9th + 10th: Rehearsal with Rob? November 10th: Mesa show November 11th + 12th: Rehearsal with Rob? November 12th: Sacramento show November 13th: Oakland show ←★This work★《Ronnie leaves → Rob replaces》 November 14th: Ozzy retirement show ←※COSTA MESA 1992 November 15th: Ozzy retirement show ←※COSTA MESA 1992 ... and so on. According to Iommi's autobiography "IRON MAN", he rehearsed with Rob for two days in Phoenix, Arizona. However, the tour schedule at that time was quite busy, and there was no two days off, so it is likely that the rehearsal took place before or after the nearest Mesa performance. In other words, even after Rob's replacement was decided, Ronnie was on stage as the singer of BLACK SABBATH (Sacramento performance / Oakland performance). He never threw out the tour or fled in anger, but he just completed all the advance plans perfectly and was not asked to add (Ozzy's opening act). He maintained professionalism to the end. Moreover, the final performance of this work was the night before Rob was replaced. Super-spectacular shots representing the DEHUMANIZER era This work, which conveys such a "last night", is a superb shot of the highest class that ignores its preciousness. It is shot from the second floor seats on the right side of the stage (Iommi side) looking down, but the front row or the front audience is not visible at all. Amplifiers and other things are not obstructions, so you can see everything you want from one end of the stage to the other. Moreover, the zoom is bold. At the very top, Ronnie and Iommi's waist-ups fill the screen, and even though they are so bold, the stability is excellent and the image quality is not blurred, so it's surprising. Since it's 1992, the performance of the equipment should not be comparable to today, but it's an incredibly powerful zoom. Furthermore, the sound is also of the highest quality. Of course, it's an audience recording with a microphone attached to the camera, but the powerful core reaches your ears with fine details, and every word of the lyrics and every riff are extremely clear and direct. I would like to release it as a live album with only audio. What you can experience with such beautiful images is the final form of the "DEHUMANIZER Tour", which is being re-evaluated. Let's organize the set here. Ronnie era (10 songs) Heaven & Hell: Children Of The Sea / Die Young / Heaven And Hell / Neon Knights Devil's Law: The Mob Rules Dehumanizer: Computer God / Time Machine / I / Master Of Insanity (*) / After All (★) Ozzy era (4 songs) War Pigs / Black Sabbath / Iron Man / Paranoid *Note: The "★" mark is a song that was not seen in the Rio de Janeiro performance pro shot of "DEHUMANIZED IN THE SOUTH". The "*" mark is a song that was not played in the later HEAVEN & HELL project. The selection of masterpieces that condensed the luxurious collaboration with Carmine Appice, "HEAVEN AND HELL", "MOB RULES" and "DEHUMANIZER", was also enjoyed in the later HEAVEN & HELL project, but the quality of the performance is quite different. Especially powerful is Ronnie's vocalization. Even Ronnie was forced to change his voice around 2005, but 1992 was long before that. He hasn't lost a bit of his voice since the 80s, and he sings and howls with the spirit of a demon that challenges the heyday of heaviness. This powerful singing voice is the biggest reason why the "DEHUMANIZER Tour" is being reevaluated. At the end of the full show, there is a surprise that is only available in this work. Vinnie's real brother Carmine Appice makes a guest appearance. He will perform "Paranoid" in place of Vinnie. However, the interesting thing is that no one notices (laughs). During a short blackout, he takes over without anyone noticing, and Ronnie casually goes into the song without calling out his name. It is certainly Carmine's unique percussive drumming, but if it wasn't for this video, I would have only thought, "Vinnie is playing in a strange way that day." The next day, he stood on stage with Rob Halford, and in 2006, he launched the HEEAVEN & HELL project, and BLACK SABBATH and Ronnie James Dio parted ways. This is a spectacular video that allows you to witness that "last night". Not only is it the best for experiencing the "DEHUMANIZER Tour" that was not possible in Japan, but you can also enjoy Carmine Appice's guest performance. A spectacular audience shot of the "November 13, 1992 Oakland performance". It was shot looking down from the second floor, and the front audience is not visible at all. The zoom is also bold, and at the very top, Ronnie and Iommi's waist-ups fill the screen, and even though they are so bold, the stability is wonderful and the image quality is not blurred, so it's surprising. Carmine Appice's guest performance is also delicious, and it is one of the best for experiencing the full "DEHUMANIZER Tour" that was not possible in Japan. Henry J.
