Featuring Ronnie James Dio, SABBATH showed off their abilities to fans on their May 1980 UK tour and June European tour, and also proved the album's greatness in their live performances. After completing the European tour, the American tour will begin with a performance in Dallas, Texas on July 5th. Initially, during this American tour, there seemed to be some fans who wanted more Ozzy than in Europe, but Ronnie's singing ability and the perfection of "HEAVEN AND HELL" made fans think that it had to be Ozzy. (His high opinion of Ronnie Sabbath seemed to have become clear by the time August began). The Los Angeles performance included in this work was the 12th performance of the American tour, and was when the band appeared at the "Summer Blowout Festival". At this time, CHEAP TRICK was in the lead role and JOURNEY was in the semi-headliner position, and SABBATH was a unique presence in the lineup, but the band appeared next to JOURNEY. The freshness of the recording is very good from the beginning when the disc is played, and the listener will be convinced of the master quality. Clearness and brightness that eliminate noise, and a sound image that is rich in directness allow listeners to enjoy playing without stress. This live had a little trouble in the intro before the performance, and this was the place to listen to suddenly. This tour usually features sound effects such as thunder with "Supertzar" in the background, but this time, only the rain and the sound of bells echoed. Once the sound effects are stopped and restarted, "Supertzar" is still not played, and the band appears and starts playing "War Pigs". Although the opening was turbulent, the live performance was truly amazing, and the band entertained with enthusiastic performances starting with “War Pigs.” You can't help but be drawn into "Neon Knights," where you can hear Ronnie singing wildly, and "N.I.B." and "Black Sabbath," which develop Ronnie's unique magical world that is different from Ozzy. It seems that the excitement at the venue was tremendous, and before the performance of ``Black Sabbath'', Ronnie was the MC and urged the audience to calm down). Due to the time constraints of appearing in the middle of the festival, "Children Of The Sea" and "Sweet Leaf" were not played on this day, but the climax after "Heaven And Hell" was well reproduced, and it was a heavy song. “Iron Man”, Iommi’s guitar solo (“Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” by Band Jam is also played), and the raging “Die Young” are repeated with maximum force. Although the performance time is short compared to the full set live of the same period, the condensed SABBATH live will definitely knock out the listener, from the opening where a little incident occurs to the encore where "Paranoid" explodes for about 70 minutes. . Please enjoy one of the best high-quality audience sources from the American tour with Bill Ward, along with the new European tour classic "LONELY IS THE WORD: THE LEGENDARY MASTER."
