The "PARANOID" tour is known for the fact that the content is completely different between the early and later tours. The representative of the early US tour was the live performances in the California area held in November 1970. Among them, "Whiskey A Go-Go" in Los Angeles is a memorable place for the band members, as it was chosen as the venue for SABBATH's reunion press conference in 2011. Alongside it is "Fillmore West" in San Francisco. Despite the hard schedule of four consecutive days from November 19 to 22, 1970, with two performances each day for a total of eight performances, SABBATH at that time performed live shows that knocked out the audience. In this work, the live performance on November 21 was recorded on a disc after careful correction and remastering of the existing master. Since this recording is also a representative work of the 1970 US tour, there were already existing sound sources available in the past. However, the tape speed was abnormally fast, so it was impossible to listen to the SABBATH live performance at that time, let alone enjoy it accurately. In this work, the pitch is accurately adjusted and the noise is cleaned up as much as possible. You can listen to the live performance in the best condition ever. From the opening "Paranoid", the listener will be surprised by the excellent visibility that is hard to believe for a live performance 42 years ago. As it was once mistaken for a "soundboard sound source", not only Iommi's guitar and Ozzy's vocals, but also Geezer's bass and Bill's drums approach with a clear, thick, heavy sound. Judging from this outstanding realism, it is thought that the original material of this sound source is probably a reel master recorded with permission from the relevant parties, such as the venue or the band. The intense performances unique to early SABBATH, such as "N.I.B.", which has a black, heavy sound that bounces with plenty of elasticity, "War Pigs", where Iommi's guitar drags the riff heavily, "Black Sabbath", which starts ominously from the guitar intro that was characteristic of that time, and "Iron Man", where dark energy is overflowing from the musical notes, have the magic of dragging the listener into the abyss. Even more delicious is the middle of the live. "Behind The Wall Of Sleep", which exudes the jazzy elements of their musical background, "Hand Of Doom", where silence and madness alternate and attack, and "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM" are unique to the early days of the tour that can't be heard. The final song, "Fairies Wear Boots," has a high-tension, cool performance that makes all SABBATH fans writhe in agony, and the 14-minute "Wicked World" is the final blow to the show! This song also has a clear jazz element, with Iommi, Geezer, and Bill's performances going in and out violently. Ozzy's "flat" singing is also impressive, and he develops a unique musical sound that you will never forget once you hear it. In addition, Iommi's solo featured in the middle of the song is almost official-grade listening. There are few materials that allow you to hear the long solos of that time so clearly, and we can say with confidence that this work is rare both in terms of documentation and entertainment. This work, which is a wonderful cut of the precious '70 live performance with a quality that is comparable to "ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM : THE LEGENDARY MASTER," is an outstanding 64 minutes!
