A masterpiece recording that will be the masterpiece of the second leg of the dissolution tour “THE END” has arrived. Even if you simply say, "The second leg...", it won't really make sense. So, let’s start with an overview of “THE END” as a whole. As of now, a total of 69 performances have been announced for "THE END" which started in January 2016, with the first leg ending in "North America" until March, and the second leg "Oceania" in late April. Ta. To summarize... ・January 20th - March 7th: North America Tour #1 (18 performances) ★April 15th - 30th: Oceania Tour (7 performances) ・June 1st - July 12th: European tour (18 performances), August 17th - September 24th: North American tour #2 (19 performances), November 16th - December 4th: Central and South American tour (7 performances) (*marked is the recording of this work) (dates) ...and it looks like this. The second leg of Oceania has already been completed with only 7 performances. I'm currently taking the entire month of May off before my European tour in June. Now, regarding the sound source situation for the second leg "Oceania", it's actually not very good... or rather, since the first leg "North America" was a rush of super powerful sound sources that can be called abnormal, it was "normal". ” I returned to. It's already been half a month since it ended, so it seems like it's about time for all of them to appear, but there aren't that many recordings that have come out. Even though today's equipment and audience recording/filming have become widespread all over the world, New Zealand/Australia may not be as good as Japan, the United States, and Europe, which have historically led the way in rock recording. However, even under such circumstances, there are still enthusiastic recording artists on every continent. The few records that have come out shine like bright stars. This work is by far the most dazzling recording even on such an Oceania tour. It is an audience album of “April 23, 2016 Sydney Performance”. Here, let's take a look at the details of the 7-performance Oceania tour. ・April 15: Perth performance ・April 17: Adelaide performance ・April 19: Melbourne performance ★April 23: Sydney performance [this work] ・April 25: Brisbane performance ・April 28: Auckland Performance/April 30th: Dunedin Performance In this way, this work is the 4th performance in the middle of the 7 Oceania performances. The sound is a stunning sound that is representative of the continent. “QUDOS BANK ARENA”, which was the venue, is a huge venue with a capacity of 21,000 people, but the recording position for this work is at the rear of the center of the arena. ``Behind the arena of a huge venue'' may give the impression of being very far away, but this venue has extremely few arena seats, and there is a PA table at the very end. In other words, it is the best position recording “in front of the PA desk”. That's why the sound of this work is a great balance. Not only the stereo left and right feeling, but also the bass/treble, venue reverberation, direct feel, and sense of scale... all of these are perfectly balanced. The musical tones are clear and sharp like a soundboard, and there is also the spectacle that can only be expected from a large venue, and yet the guitar riffs and the grinding bass have sharp edges and sharpness. And the number one point is the spectacle. I listened to it a lot in the first leg if it was just the best musical sound, but the enthusiasm of Australians who get drunk on it is unique to this place. Basically, I have a free spirit similar to that of Westerners, but there is something more generous about me. It's hard to put into words, but it's not the uproar of North America, the easy-going vibe of Europe, or the uplifting vibe of Japan. The audience was singing a lot and breathing in the groove and doom while having a little conversation. It's as realistic as seeing 20,000 smiling faces. Honestly, if you're just looking for the best sound, there's already been an unusual number of appearances on the North American leg, and the set list has gotten even shorter, with "God Is Dead?" also missing. However, the sense of exoticism beyond the continent is different from that of North America. This work is packed with plenty of even the smell of the scene. “THE END” is the last flower of the legendary band that has been together for 48 years. This is the representative work of Oceania. A live album that lets you savor the same time and era as these guys who are saying goodbye all over the world. Please enjoy the real thrill of traveling around the world with them.
