“FACE TO FACE 2009/2010” is the last coupling tour of the century after 6 years. A masterpiece live album that conveys the scene is now available. What is infused into this work is “Philadelphia performance on July 30, 2009”. It is an exquisite audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. The ultimate tour featuring British and American piano men will be held in four major stages: 1994/1995 (North America), 1998 (overseas), 2001-2003 (North America), and 2009/2010 (North America). However, it ended in 2012 when Billy announced that he would not do it again. The "2009/2010 (North America)" edition is the last one, although it has been revived for the first time in a while. First, let's look back at the schedule and check the show's position. 2009, March 2-30: North America #1 (11 performances), May 2-June 3: North America #2 (13 performances, July 11-August 1: North America #3 ( 7 performances) ←★Coco★ × November 4th - December 7th (postponed) February 3rd - March 11th, 2010: North America #4 (12 performances) ← *FACE 2 FACE IN COLORADO × July 7th - 24th (cancelled) This is the overall picture of "FACE TO FACE 2009/2010", but it was originally scheduled to end in 2009, but some dates were postponed to 2010 due to Elton suffering from an E. coli infection. The Philadelphia performance of this work was the 6th concert of "North America #3" just before the 2009 tour was suspended. This work was recorded at such a show. A fresh and exquisite audience. As it is recorded from the rear stand seats, it does not have the close feeling that is said to be "like a sound board", but the secret is probably that it does not feel far away. The venue, Citizens Bank Park, is an outdoor baseball stadium that is also the home of the MLB Philadelphia Phillies, so there are no ceilings or walls to reflect sound, so unlike a dome, the sound doesn't circulate around the stadium. If so, PAs will be installed throughout the venue and set up so that even distant seats can hear clearly. This is just speculation, but I think this work was probably recorded to a remote PA. Unlike the front seats, you won't be bothered by the noise around you, and the sound of the performance and singing voices will be strangely clear and vivid.Yet, the balance is such that you can overlook the excitement of the venue...the sound reminds you of the environment from the far seats. What is depicted in such a neat and easy-to-listen sound is a group of glorious masterpieces left behind by both men.The show structure is ``Co-star #1 (4 songs) → Elton (11 songs) → Co-star #2. (7 songs), but let's break it down by their songs. Elton John Madman: Levon/Madman Across The Water/Don't Shoot the Pianist!: Daniel/Crocodile. Rock: Twilight Brick Road: Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding/Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting/Goodbye Yellow Brick Road/Bennie And The Jets (★)/Candle In The Wind (★) Caribbean: Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (★) / The Bitch Is Back (★) / Too Low For Zero: I'm Still Standing / I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues (★) / Others: Rocket Man / Philadelphia Freedom/Your Song (★) Billy Joel Stranger: Just the Way You Are (★)/Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)/She's Always a Woman/Scenes From an Italian Restaurant/Only the Good Die Young New York 52 City: My Life (★) / Zanzibar / Glass House: It's Still Rock and Roll to Me / You May Be Right (★) / Others: Prelude / Angry Young Man / Allentown / The River of Dreams / Highway To Hell / We Didn't Start the Fire/Uptown Girl (★)/Piano Man (★) *Note: Songs marked with a "★" were performed in the co-starring section. ...and it looks like this. Although there are a few spicy songs mixed in, such as Elton's "Madman Across The Water" and Billy's "Highway To Hell (AC/DC cover)," it's an exchange of hit songs in which both men do not give in. You probably can't listen to more than the other person at a coupling show. Billy said that “the set is constrained” as a reason for stopping “FACE TO FACE”, but it is a furious rush full of special songs that are so rich. Although you may not be able to enjoy the freedom of a solo performance, this is a live album where you can enjoy a rich treasure trove of famous songs with enthusiastic performances due to the two actors standing side by side. A special 3-disc set with the full set of both actors and their co-starring parts vacuum-packed. Exquisite audience recording of "July 30, 2009 Philadelphia Performance". As it is an outdoor stadium, there are no ceilings or walls to reflect sound, so unlike a dome, sound does not circulate around the stadium. The direct feeling that takes advantage of the environment is delicious, and you won't be bothered by the hustle and bustle around you like you would if you were sitting in the front row, and the sounds of the performance and singing voices would be strangely clear and vivid. The rush of hit songs that both of them are crushing on is gorgeous, and the 3-disc set allows you to fully experience the 11-song solo set/collaboration part with exquisite sound.
