A recording of Evans' solo concert at Sprague Memorial Hall in Connecticut on February 22, 1980, about seven months before his death, is recorded from the original audience master owned by Taper, which has recently been released online. Complete recording with good quality. This is a rare sound source that was discovered for the first time and had never been leaked before.Until last month, Mark Johnson, Joe LaBarbera, and others had continued to perform as a familiar trio in their later years, but on this day, they were the opening act. ``Only ``Waltz For Debby'' is performed with the Yale Jazz Orchestra, and after that, all performances are performed only by Evans' solo piano, which is a valuable piece. Therefore, unlike the trio composition, the songs performed all feature delicate and elegant piano touches, and are said to be influenced by classical music such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. He presented a wonderful arrangement based on his own interpretation, incorporating impressionistic chords. Seven months later, he performed a nine-day continuous gig, and after that, he never returned. Here, in the highest quality, is a precious solo performance of his later years, as he enters the "final chapter."
