A US-exclusive original compilation album that appeared with a shocking banned jacket and became a legendary collector's item! ! Deluxe Edition of the US-edited Capitol Original Album! ! Faithfully reproduces each 60's analog sound source stereo / mono track recorded on the original album edited by US Capitol. The audio album includes four sound sources: the latest new stereo remix and the 60's original stereo mix & alternate stereo mix + mono mix. You can listen to each sound source and play it by audio selection. In addition, a valuable 8-track tape sound source with a different song order is also included! US Capitol edited original album "Yesterday and Today" "Yesterday and Today" was released on June 20, 1966 as a US Capitol edited album. When the album was first released, it featured the so-called "butcher cover," a photo of the band members in white coats smiling while holding a dismembered baby doll and pieces of meat, which was the brainchild of photographer Robert Whitaker, but just before the album's release, complaints flooded in from Capitol Records salesmen and record stores about the grotesque jacket design, and the album was quickly recalled and changed to the originally planned "trunk cover." However, as an emergency measure, some copies were shipped with a "trunk cover" pasted over the "butcher cover." The original "butcher covers," which were not recalled in time and only a very small number of copies were available, have become extremely expensive collector's items, and the "peeled cover," which is the cover carefully peeled off, is now traded at a high price. "Yesterday and Today," which caused controversy with its banned cover, is also a confusing compilation. It includes four songs that were released as singles in the US, "Yesterday/Act Naturally" and "We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper," as well as four songs that were not included in the previous album "Rubber Soul," "Drive My Car," "Nowhere Man," "If I Needed Someone," and "What Goes On." Furthermore, under Capitol's strong initiative, three songs from the album "Revolver," which had not yet been released in the UK, "I'm Only Sleeping," "Dr. Robert," and "And Your Bird Can Sing," were provided as recordings, resulting in a unique mix of both the stereo and mono versions that differs from the original UK recordings. With all of this, it is the most noteworthy title among the US Capitol compilations. It reached number one on both the Billboard and Cashbox album charts, and was later certified double platinum, selling more than 2 million copies. CD = Original Capitol Masters (Stereo & Mono) CD = TRUNK COVER VERSION In the 1970s reissue of "Yesterday and Today," the three songs "I'm Only Sleeping," "Dr. Robert," and "And Your Bird Can Sing," which were pseudo-stereo in the 1966 original, were replaced with real stereo, and the left and right stereo channels of all the songs on the album were changed to a centered mix, making it the "second version." In addition, the "reel tape masters" released after the 1960s were recorded from open reels at the time, and the order of the songs was different from the records, and the sound itself also sounds different from the records, making this an interesting sound source that is completely recorded. In addition, five songs from "Yesterday and Today" are included from the Capitol compilation released in the 1970s as "US CAPITOL ALTERNATE MASTERS." Each of them is a sound source that allows you to hear the difference in the mixes when you listen to them. CD2=TRUNK COVER VERSION "YESTERDAY AND TODAY" STEREO SECOND VERSION 1. DRIVE MY CAR 2.
