The new demix of Lord Reith's "WITH THE BEATLES," released at the same time, is also impressive. This was also released as an upgraded version, "FABRACADABRA," and it's truly stunning throughout. Furthermore, while this album featured more overdubs than the first, it was still recorded on two tracks, making the demixing even more rewarding. Among these, "All My Loving" is a symbol of this demix. This song also received an official demix on the "Red Album," but even here Ringo's drums sounded unnatural and choppy, a dilemma for the 2023 "Red Album" demix. Furthermore, the overall separation of the performance was particularly lacking, even among the "Red Album" demixes. In contrast, Lord Reith's demix is on a whole other level. Ringo's natural drumming is undeniable, and the overall separation of the performance is incomparable to the "Red Album" demix. Recent research has revealed that John played triple rhythm guitar on a Rickenbacker, while George played acoustic guitar. You can actually hear that acoustic guitar on this demix! The electric parts, including the memorable interlude, were also added through overdubbing, a process unique to this album. This single track alone is enough to make this new demix of "With the Beatles" a standout. Tracks like "Don't Bother Me," enhanced by the album's unique overdubbing techniques, not only sound distinct, but are also powerfully executed. Even overdubs like the piano on "Little Child" and the organ on "I Wanna Be Your Man" are a refreshing discovery: "Was that how they played?" Furthermore, "She Loves You," the most difficult track from the '63 recording, was lost due to the loss of the session tapes. Not only was this track officially demixed on the "Red Album" album, which generated a lot of buzz, but the finished product is quite impressive among the demixes on that album. However, nearly two years of technological advances have mercilessly produced a stereo version of "She Loves You" that easily surpasses the finish on the "Red Album." Its level of perfection is so impressive it almost makes you think, "Have the session tapes finally been unearthed?" While the overall demixing of "With the Beatles" is impressive, the stunning stereo version of "She Loves You" is one of the highlights of this release. While this demixing allows you to enjoy the details of the stereo separation in detail when listening with headphones, it's so beautifully crafted that even when played through speakers, the clarity allows you to fully enjoy the powerful energy of the performance. The second disc also compiles the session recordings, showcasing impressive separation techniques and close-ups of conversations between takes. It also introduces new experiments, such as overlaying the finished performance on Take 7 of "It Won't Be Long," which only exists as a speaker recording. While there's certainly a slight difference in the sound quality, the meticulous combination of elements is truly impressive. The second half, like the "PLEASE PLEASE ME" demix, recreates the pre-overdubbing state. It's refreshing to hear the Beatles' performances of "You Really Got A Hold On Me" and "Money" unfold before George Martin added the piano. And yet, the natural finish is truly astonishing. And the highlight is "Hold Me Tight," which neatly removes Paul's lead vocals to reveal only the instrumental performance. The beautiful voice of John's backing vocals, which emerge here, is captivating. This is another stunning demix that showcases Lord Reith's masterful technique. Hats off to the brilliant finish, which surpasses even the "red album"!
