A collection of early Beatles footage will be released. The period is two years from 1962 to 1963. This is an early video collection from the time when it was gaining popularity in the UK and Europe, even before it had made its way to America. The earliest recorded in this work is the footage from YOUTH CLUB on February 10, 1962. I'm surprised that this rare pre-release Beatles film has survived in color. Although I don't know what song they played, it is a valuable video of him performing in a black leather jacket instead of the suit he wore after his debut. The drummer at this time is Pete Best, but unfortunately he is hidden in the shadow of Paul and cannot be seen. In any case, it is a valuable glimpse into a part of the legend captured in clear color film. John uses his first natural-colored Rickenbacker 325, which he purchased in 1958. This is also used in the next song "Some Other Guy" at the Cavern Club, and it's very moving to see it in color. Basically, the position of George, Paul, and John from the left of the stage has not changed since their debut, but in songs where Paul takes vocals, John moves to the far left microphone and sings the chorus with George. I can hear it. Then on August 22, 1962 Liverpool played 'Some Other Guy' at the Cavern Club. This is a video of them performing at the Beatles' home ground, which became famous and is still an important tourist spot. However, the Beatles had already replaced Ringo as the drummer soon after, and the Beatles had accepted Brian Epstein's tastes, wearing a tie and wearing a vest. Most of the audience were long-time fans, but they must have felt something distant about the Beatles. Version 1 is footage from the Granada TV archive. The film is somewhat grainy. Version 2 is an anthology video, and has been heavily corrected to emphasize the black and white shading, making it a calming video. Version 3 is from “THE BEATLES STORY”. This one gives a sense of the times, and the image quality is quite poor. Although these are videos taken at three different Cavern clubs, they are all indispensable in that they have different cuts and different performance takes. Finally, there is a video that allows you to compare these three versions of "Some Other Guy" by playing them simultaneously. If you look at the movements of each member, it is not only obvious that the takes are different performances, but also because they were edited according to the storyboard, they have similar cuts, but the audience seats that are inserted You can see that there are differences in the images and the camera work showing the Beatles. And the last thing recorded is the video “CUT AWAY” at the Cavern Club, which was not used in the main story. There are a variety of shots of the audience seats and fans, close-ups of each member, and shots from behind, which were probably taken as insert material, and the scenes of the Cavern Club at the time, such as the girls dancing to the music, are shown. You can really feel it. The camera was clearly standing on the stage and taking close-up shots, making it a valuable record of the time. Blackpool, August 25, 1963 is a color image of the young Beatles on stage, wearing silver suits without collars, an early image. Originally, there were videos of her performing in the same costume at BIG NIGHT OUT, but all of them were in black and white. It is valuable because it is a color video like this, and it is from a live stage rather than a TV studio. The famous footage from Southport's Little Theater on August 27, 1963 shows him wearing a collarless silver suit and was broadcast on the program ``MERSEY SOUND.'' It is a vivid performance scene of the young Beatles whose hair has not yet fully grown. From my current point of view, knowing what happened afterwards, I find it strange that the Beatles were so well-behaved, especially John, but I see, this is probably the way John says they ``sold their souls to sell.'' The songs are "Twist And Shout" and "She Loves You." The footage from Southport Floral Hall on October 15, 1963 is just a snippet, but it was also shot from John's side of the stage, probably by someone involved, showing the Beatles in collarless suits on stage. There is a recording of him singing. Footage from the Odeon Cinema, Cheltenham, November 1, 1963. This is a live video of the Beatles on a stage that looks like a school play. It appears to be an official shoot using multiple cameras, including close-up shots of each member and shots from above the audience seats. There are 5 songs, each of which is a fragment, ``Boys,'' ``Till There Was You,'' ``She Loves You,'' ``Money,'' and ``Twist And Shout.'' In particular, pay attention to Paul, who performs enthusiastically with his mop hair shaking in "Twist And Shout". The famous Royal Variety Performance took place on November 4, 1963. First, a short video of the day's rehearsal is recorded. A beautiful color photograph of the rehearsal at this time is also available, showing him standing on stage in casual clothes, unlike his stage costumes. In the main story, they appear wearing matching suits. The stage curtain opens and the show opens with “From Me To You.” Paul seems to be a little nervous as he is performing in front of the Queen, and Paul seems to be smiling and enjoying the performance, but John sings with a stiff expression throughout. The only thing she does is smile, perhaps to hide her shyness, after making a joke about the jingling of jewels. The jingling of the jewels was originally a rough line that said, "Even that jewel should ring," but it was changed to a softer expression just before the performance. The Beatles' final audience with Her Majesty the Queen is also included. The Royal Variety Show has been held every year since then, but the Beatles are said to have declined requests to perform. Live footage from the Adelphi Cinema in Dublin on November 7, 1963. It seems to have been an unusual stage production in which each member was shined with a spotlight in the dark venue. A subsequent video from Plymouth's ABC Cinema on November 13, 1963 showed him performing in a black suit, showing that the era of collarless suits was short-lived. This ABC Cinema video is extremely valuable not only because of Paul's passionate performance, but also because it contains the valuable "You Really Got A Hold On Me" performance scene. Filmed at the Winter Garden Theater in Bournemouth in 1963. The main shot is taken from below the stage, and it is a close-up shot that seems to be able to almost convey the fresh breathing of the young Beatles. The joy on George's face as he sings ``Roll Over Beethoven'' makes me feel embarrassed. There are also several videos with different versions. CBS Version 1 and 2, and NBC version. There are differences in image quality and bottom caption. November 20, 1963 Manchester's ABC Cinema is famous for its color video "BEATLES COMES TO TOWN". It is a wonderful video work that allows you to see the Beatles lively performing on a stage that now feels like an era, and the enthusiasm of the fans. Contains FULL SCREEN VERSION, WIDE SCREEN VERSION, and outtake footage. On this day, December 2, 1963, the Beatles appeared on the TV program "MORECAMBE AND WISE SHOW". The Beatles are playing "This Boy," "All My Loving," and "I Want To Hold Your Hand." This is the earliest video of him performing "Dakitai". This is a representative song that marked the beginning of the Beatles' breakthrough, during which they held a series of performances in Paris the following month, during which they received news that it would become a number one hit in the United States. At this point, I probably believed in such a future, but I couldn't have foreseen it. After playing "Dakitai", the host appeared and everyone sang "MOONLIGHT BAY". Live footage from Liverpool Empire on December 7, 1963. It is famous for the program "IT'S THE BEATLES". The first thing recorded is Reuters news reel footage. There is a time code at the bottom, but it is the original audio. Next is an image of a print copy of 8mm film. The frame of the screen is dark and scratches on the film are noticeable. And the last one contains the remaining footage of “IT’S THE BEATLES”. For "IT'S THE BEATLES", there is a complete stage recording of the audio recorded online from what was broadcast at the time, but unfortunately it seems that all the video footage is what was recorded in this work. . And the last one is a live video from Wimbledon on December 14, 1963. Although it is not shown in the video, the fans and the stage were separated by a wire fence for safety reasons, making it look like they were performing in a cage like a zoo. A valuable collection of early Beatles live footage.
