A video documentary tracing the history of The Beatles, whose planning began before The Beatles broke up in 1970. Initially, it was planned to be released as a film, and at the suggestion of Neil Aspinall of Apple, archive footage of live performances and interviews was compiled and the project was carried out as "The Long and Winding Road". Rumors of production continued even after the breakup in the 1970s, but the film disappeared without being released. As you know, it was realized in a different form as an anthology project in the 1990s, but this is the latest edited collection that reconstructs the sound sources and videos selected based on the original plan of "The Long and Winding Road", which was to be the first official documentary of The Beatles. The CD contains a total of 26 tracks in chronological order from debut to breakup as song tracks of the video work. Some of them are recorded in the anthology, but here they are all recorded with new separate source sound sources, and the original mono sound sources are all the latest upgraded sound sources with AI stereo remastering, so compared to the previous sound sources, it is a new anthology compilation with all different source sound sources. The DVD includes the latest edited video version of the original footage that was to be included as "The Video Masters", reproduced with AI colorization, including the first appearance. The early black and white footage of "Some Other Guy" by Cavern and "Yesterday" by British TV are revived in vivid color, and the latest edited footage of high quality best quality is compiled, including promo footage outtakes. And the documentary footage "The Long and Winding Road", which was shelved as "original work print film", is recorded in a new restored and improved version of the original project that was left unfinished in the 1970s. Unlike later anthologies, there are edits that can only be seen here, making it a collector's item of interest. It has been released by the HMC label in the past, but this time it is a remastered video with improved image quality and sound quality from the poor quality film state. This is the label's latest collector's edition, a 2-disc CD and DVD set that recreates the legendary documentary "The Long and Winding Road," which traces the history of the Beatles and is the source of the Anthology Project, in a newly edited version. Songtracks based on the original project are released on CD with newly edited audio, AI stereo remixed and remastered. The original footage is reproduced in the latest edited video version with AI colorization, including the first appearance of the original footage.
