Not only will we release the session document of "RUBBER SOUL," which dramatically changed The Beatles' sound style, but we will also release a unique remix version of the album itself. The stereo mix of this album has the vocals positioned to the right throughout, which makes it seem like a throwback to The Beatles' early albums. It is said that this was the result of the need to release the album in 1965 in order to fulfill the "two albums a year" contract, and the recording work was rushed. As proof of this, when this album was first released on CD in 1987, George Martin created a new stereo mix, and this mix is also used for the current remastered CD. However, even with the 1987 stereo mix, the main vocal track is still shifted to the right, although not as much as the original, and there are still many enthusiasts who point out the discomfort and old-fashionedness of this. Although the 1987 mix of "The Word" improved the separation of the performance and backing vocals significantly, John's main vocals were still pushed to the right. In the 21st century, when it became easier to edit music on a computer, fans began to create their own remixes to try to solve this problem. For example, Dr. Ebbetts, whose vocal center mix version of "WITH THE BEATLES" will be released as a gift item this week, had already tried a center mix version of "RUBBER SOUL" in the early 2000s, but the result was still not at a high enough level. This was particularly noticeable in songs like "Norwegian Wood," where if you tried to move the vocal position to the center, the performance on the left and right were also pulled, resulting in a mono-like state. In other words, Dr. Ebbetts' center mix had a dilemma in which the performance became mono when the song started. It could be said that this was the limit of the sound source software at that time. More than ten years have passed since then, and the performance of sound source software has improved dramatically. Furthermore, even sound sources such as "BEATLES: ROCKBAND" that can be called remix-oriented for enthusiasts have appeared. In response to this situation, a new center mix version of "RUBBER SOUL" has been created in recent years. It was created by Master Jedi, who is well known as the author of the best version of the sound source that became the basis of this "COMPLETE RECORDING SESSIONS VOL.4" and "LAST LACQUERS". He has a strong impression as a master who creates a culmination of each Beatles sound source as listed here, and many people may have overlooked the fact that he quietly created a center mix of "RUBBER SOUL". The finished product is better than expected. Although the equipment used and the era are different and there is no comparison, it creates a much more natural center mix feeling than the Dr. Ebbetts version center mix mentioned above. The effect is particularly outstanding when listening with headphones. There are songs like "Nowhere Man" that seem to have added equalization to the mix of "YELLOW SUMARINE SONGTRACK", but overall it is an amazing center mix. If you compare it to the current remastered CD, the difference and the difference in the sound image are obvious. Of course, it is not a remix in the strict sense, but rather something created by fans. (35:38) 01. Drive My Car 02. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) 03. You Won't See Me 04. Nowhere Man 05.
