The historic masterpiece "Abbey Road" was released in September 1969, when The Beatles worked on their last ambitious album. After the "Get Back Sessions" which was practically aborted, the Beatles were in danger of breaking up, and they focused on ambitious recording, incorporating elements of blues, Latin, progressive rock, etc., with an awareness of the trends in the rock scene at the time.
