Although it is a historical video that captures the Beatles' moment of glory, Shea Stadium has not yet been released as a live video. It was featured in "ANTHOLOGY" and John's "IMAGINE", and in the live history movie "EIGHT DAYS A WEEK" a few years ago, a newly edited version of only the live scene was shown after the main story ended, but unlike the movie, It was not released as software, nor was it even recorded as a bonus video. Under these circumstances, HMC's ``SHEA!'' may have lowered the appetite among enthusiasts. This masterpiece was discovered in 1991 with its video and audio remastered for "ANTHOLOGY", and has excellent image and sound quality, and has remained the definitive shared video to this day. However, it was clear that there was still room for improvement, and above all, the video was stretched out vertically. In Beatles live footage, it is easy to understand that when such screen ratio distortion occurs, the circle of Ringo's drum head is no longer a perfect circle. Therefore, the screen ratio has been revised for this release. Of course, if you look at the scene of ``Act Naturally'' where Ringo's entire drum kit is featured on the screen, you can see that his drum head is perfectly round. Of course, that alone is not enough. For this release, the audio of the live scene has been replaced with an original soundboard recording without overdubbing or re-recording of the performance. The strange thing about SHARE is that while the filming had been planned from the beginning, there was no suggestion of collaborating with the record company to record the audio, so they ended up using a sound board with a PA output. If you are an enthusiast, you are probably well aware of the nature of this kind of sound source, but because of that decision, the audio of the share ended up being modified a lot. What's more, there were a number of problems with the recording, especially ``I Feel Fine'', Ringo's ``Act~'', and ``Help!'', which had problems with the recording itself and were completely unusable as they were. . This led to not only overdubbing but also the performance having to be re-recorded from scratch. However, it was ironic that the changes made to the original soundboard suddenly made it more realistic and documented. Additionally, what was noticeable outside of the Beatles scene was that the audience's cheers were overdubbed even during the undercard performance. As expected, it couldn't have been that exciting before the Beatles appeared (lol) The sound board audio fits better here. Above all, if you combine the 1991 version video with the sound board where you can hear the real performance of the day, including Ringo's "Act Naturally", you can call it the strongest. However, this time we took even more care and included the original TV audio as secondary audio. This is based on the audio from the 1979 BBC broadcast version, which has become familiar among enthusiasts. Up until now, a DVD "AT SHEA STADIUM 1979 BBC BROADCAST VERSION" has been released in which the audio can be selected as the soundboard in the 1979 version, but this time, although the video is the 1991 version, the audio is the soundboard and original. The point is to broadcast. The 1979 version audio is not only recorded, but also remastered. As a result, the "vintage" sound quality that was present in the broadcast version, for better or worse, was alleviated, and it became possible to enjoy it much more clearly. Also, for parts other than those where the performance scene was replaced with a sound board, the audio of the 1991 version is of course utilized. However, perhaps reflecting the historical background of the time, equalization was added that strengthened the bass overall, and this point was also corrected. By adding such processing, the main audio has been compiled so that it can be viewed in a more natural state both on the soundboard and in the parts. In this way, this release aims to create an edit that takes the best parts of each version of the shared video. It goes without saying that it is the best version that allows you to enjoy the shared performance as it is on the day without any overdubbing or performance replacement, and the shortcomings of the 1991 version, which boasts excellent image quality, have been firmly adjusted. The convenience of being able to enjoy the original TV audio as well. This makes it easy to hear and compare how the performance on the day was modified. A new definitive version of the Beatles' historic live footage called Share Stadium is born! (Work details) - The video uses the 1991 remastered version - Corrected the screen ratio where the video was stretched vertically (★Ringo's drum head is clearly reflected for the first time!) - Live scenes are overdubbed Replaced with the original soundboard audio without sound. - Corrected the fact that the original sound had a lot of bass and was heavily EQed. - The audio of the 1979 BBC broadcast version has also been remastered, making it a clearer sound.
